So did we win?
Almost, just a shot here or there away.

even if we shoot a bad % , like 9/31 from 3 (29%) we win comfortably over a decent team. oscar put us in a position to win. can't fault him for shots not falling.

Well when you miss 25 of your last 27 jumpshots, it's pretty tough to win.  That's what we did the last 28 minutes. 1-18 on 3pt, 1-7 on 2pt shots of 10+ feet

In that same time span, we were 9-12 on FGs inside 10 feet. Actually we were 9-10, then Barry missed 5 footer from baseline & Sneed missed 8-9 foot bank shot with under a minute.

This was not good in total.  Sneed and Wade okay.  5 spot was atrocious.  Oscar I am convinced can't coach big men.

Zero inside presence on offense at all.

Who could have possibly predicted this would be an issue?

I sat 10 feet from Oscar tonight and it was pretty great, he has names for his plays like FLORIDA!  And then later yells CROSSBOW! while Tulsa is driving the Rim on the other side of the court

Tulsa is #110 in KenPom after their win last night. What that doesn’t account for is their massively high “fun to watch” statistic. With K-State’s being so high getting them to 8-1 before tonight i can’t even imagine what Tulsa’s is.

One good question about this team is how they will respond to this setback. If they curl up and die (as some posters would have them do), then they are not a good team. If they resolve to improve and do so, then they can become a good team. They have 21 regular season games to go. It's all in the future, not the past.

Good God, never oscar's fault

I dont think it's true that we lost to Tulsa but even if it is, still better than Frank

Seriously, games like this are why Wooly thought 3s were fools gold. 40% of our shots this year are from 3. This team is built to shoot it. And Barry and Kam are going to take half the shots when they are on the floor.

Also, I won't give Haith or Tulsa's defense that much credit. Their zones were fine, but they gave up a ton of open shots. We didn't take a ton of terrible or forced shots. Maybe the worst ones were Sneed's 4th-6th shots or so because he went in heat check mode after hitting his first 2. But really, Haith played the 3PT lottery and won more than Tulsa shut us done.

Granted, you can counter by hitting the offensive glass and getting inside the zone. We did the latter some, but the former none at all. The fact that we didn't even try to oboard by sending 3-4 guys to the offensive glass is the most frustrating part of this loss to me.

Oscar obviously called too much Florida and not enough crossbow, or maybe vice versa. What assistant should do the play calling?
