a simple trip that i did was fly into madrid, stay downtown by the bernabeu, spend a few days PAK'n around madrid then high speed train down to seville, kc's sister city and walk around and check it out

great food, easy trip 6-7 hours from newark

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

seville is pretty cool, i went during holy week which was xtremo awesome.  the natives are very welcoming and they have references to kc around the town which is both weird and cool, going back next year

 I like the sounds of this. 9 days would be long enough to hang in spain for most of the time and then possibly hop over to Italy, right?

I've never been interested in France. Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, etc. Those places sound and look awesome on TV.

I've only been to Italy out of that list but I've put them all as extremely more fun/interedting than Ireland

Do either of you speak Spanish, Italian, or Smelly Butthole?

I know a little Spanish, but that's about it. It's going to be hard, isn't it?

Nah, you'll survive. It will just make it more of an adventure.

But if you go to Spain and don't go to Barcelona, you're making a terrible bistec.

Google translate on your mobile device negates any need to practice other languages before you go.

It works kinda well-ish in a bind, but "awesome"? Really?

That said, yes. Download the Google Translate app and download the offline dictionaries for whatever languages you'll need.

I had a fantastic time in Ireland.  Great place to go with buds and check out neighborhood bars and restaurants.  Catch a rugby, Gaelic football, or hurling match. Did almost zero sightseeing other than Jameson tour.  Might not be everyone's favorite, but I really enjoyed the people there.
:adios:

 I feel like I could save Ireland for a Fanning Family trip and go do all the ancestry, castle, pubs, etc. stuff another time. Although, it's still #1 on the bucket list. My uncles really into that stuff and it would probably mean more.

Europe over the holidays seems like a blast and it would be pretty relaxing for once.
