I'm of the belief that casinos, bookies, and offshore shops aren't in the habit of just handing out "FREE MONEY" so what could possibly be the explanation of only asking a team that is superior in every way to cover just 8.5 points?

Their history with Auburn withstanding, I believe this game will be won by a touchdown. Kansas State plays very disciplined football. I just don't see Auburn running the score up, especially in your house on a Thursday night. The fact that the line has been trending further in Auburn's favor makes me believe that even more.

I agree with you that we will win it by about a TD. With that said, the line stopped "trending in Auburn's favor" about 11am CST/9am PST today.  It topped out at 9/9.5 before the sharps started grabbing it.  If you follow the link I posted earlier, you'll see that it's now at 8/8.5 virtually everywhere.
