playing the team that kicks your ass every year by 30 isnt really a rivalry, even if they are in the same state

We actually have had the better of our in-state rival in the last  30 years.  In the last 5 we are only  3-2(oh the horror),the years we lost they won the NC.  Give us a little history about your closest rivalry?

We are currently 8-6 all time vs our biggest rival, the Texas Longhorns. We are also 2-0 vs the USC Trojans.

Wow really?   8-6 "all time",  And that is your biggest rival?  I must be missing something. Our other big  rivalry  vs UGA  :55–54–8   Now that is a rivalry!

They were afraid to start playing us until around '96 or so as we were in the powerful Big8 conference and they were in the week and lowly SWC...

I wouldn't really call playing 14 games a big rivalry.  But maybe it is the most important game for KSU now.  So a different question.
Who is your longest rivalry of importance?

Probably Kansas. They lead the all time series, since we were pretty much the worst team in division 1 football up until 1990. They are worse now than K-State has ever been, though. It's a fun game on the rare occasion that both schools have good teams, but nobody circles a game against Kansas in their current state.

You know, I was just thinking, when was the last time Auburn had as big of a game as this, 1969 or so?

Our game last week was on the same level. Just a scrub team asking for lessons.

we are the entire SEC's super bowl tonight.  and we have nothing to lose.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

not at all and it's weird that you would ask that question

Nah, not weird just an observation from your own fan base.

I can tell you this though, I'm feeling like I have been sold on this hyped advertisement of the game added to my already love of teh Auburn foozball. I can't get a damn thing done at work today. This is my only reason why not to like Thursday night games.

It has only been a little over a week since I was introduced to auburn2eugene and I really miss him.  His posts had this passion that poets spend their whole life writing about.

auburn2eugene knows why the caged bird sings.

I couldn't no less than 6 $70k+ cars with Auburn flags on my brief trip down scenic today. Super Bowl confirmed.
