The smell of wood fires at dusk as I crunch through a small frozen puddle on the way home.

Early morning snow when the top part has crusted over due to low temperatures and you can walk on it without falling through even though it's a couple of inches deep.

Also, I love shoveling snow almost as much as I love mowing the lawn. I find it to be very relaxing and satisfying.

I used to not really care about being cold. I was cold all the time growing up doing cow farm stuff. then one time in MHK I was on a pretty doozy of a dose of boomers and walking to my apartment and it was super cold out. well, like happens from time to time, I began to repeat time over and over. like I just kept looking over and the same house or tree was still by me no matter how long I walked that same block. took about a year to get home. the cold really started to seep into the bones. finally got back to my apartment and was just so dang cold. got warmed up but really never liked being cold after that. also every time I'd do mushrooms after that I'd like to get really cozy and warm and that ruled.

so I'd say getting really cozy and warm when it's cold out is my favorite winter wonder.

Being in current -20F temps it's a wonder people put up with it...

But in all seriousness I think one kinda cool thing about at least in Saskatchewan, is when it's this cold and there is snow in the ground, lights from like street lights from afar don't just shine down but make pillars of faint light reaching up into the sky. It makes it look like many faint searchlights going up, it's kinda neat.

Else I agree with SD. Being in and cozy (like I am right now) is not something you get in the summer. It's enjoyable.

Look at that grand ol golden!

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Second the fireplace scent permeating the air, the glow of a city/town.

Love how "warm" it feels whenever you come in from outside, even if it's not even really all that much warmer.
