have a buddy that interns in the boise athletic offices. says they are gonna announce it sometime in june, doesnt know which sports or what year it will begin.

If that happens the MWC will become an extremely formidable football conference.   

One could reasonably argue that putting Boise State in the MWC elevates the MWC past both the ACC and the Big East in football . . . if both of those conferences continue to flounder around in football.    Boise State, Utah, and TCU have all fielded teams in the last 5 years that could play with anyone in the country.
