Oldest football stadium west of the Mississippi.  Meanwhile, K-State fans celebrate a hole in the ground surrounded by sheep pens.

And also surrounded by ppl, unlike KU. I know it's crazy. Imagine thousands standing around your football stadium to tailgate. You guys should look into that sometime.

Memorial Stadium was renovated and updated in 2001.  Football complex finished in '08.  Next.

Why does it still look so shitty then?

RENOVATIONS!

Yeah, that isn't the actual luxury section.  It was a mock version to allow people to test it out before they bought season tickets.

Like I've said before, once KU does another renovation to Memorial Stadium and adds the gridiron club, it will be one of the 25 best college stadiums in the country.  The on campus setting and the overall location can't be matched by any other stadium in the Big 12.  K-State has a generic hole in the ground stadium surrounded by a parking lot, and I know deep down inside that it kills you guys.

Go take a picture of K-State's stadium on a cold, rainy day, particularly one from the sheep lot.  It will look just as bad, if not worse.  This is the west side of Memorial Stadium, similar to what the east side will look like after renovation.

Hey guys, please keep ignoring the fact that KU and K-State's attendance numbers are virtually identical.  Keep making references to empty stadiums, even though KU has just as good of attendance as K-State.

Whoa... congrats on that one.  That's big time.  It only took what... ten years or so after the initial plans were on the drawing board?

Operative word is "attendance" . . . phognet talking points always like to play that one, usually forgetting that at ku for those games that increase the season attendance average, thousands of tickets have been given away.

Speaking of parking lots, if and when ku EVER gets that stand alone track (8 years and counting now . . . actually longer) and gets to move the field event area . . .  Cheyenne Zulu is going to extend the East Parking lot all the way across the entire East side of Memorial Fall Out Shelter, just as fast as he can.

Glen Mason asked for a football complex like Vanier in 1995 (it was actually after the Bowl Season of 1992, but most phognet talking points tend to forget that) . . . had he stayed around THIRTEEN more years, he would have gotten it . . . Mangino re-asked for one in 2002.

I'm sure oscar Weber will put the new basketball facility to good use.  All of those 2 and 3-star recruits won't know what to do with themselves once they get a glimpse of that place.
