Combined with the new CBA provisions and Glass's refusal (to this point) to increasing payroll, the Royals are quickly in jeopardy of falling out of playoff contention for the next few years. Glass won a WS Championship by spending a bit more when necessary; considering other division clubs' moves for the second straight season (and offseason spending isn't over yet), KC probably cant get to the playoffs again without some significant moves and spending.
