Jake is a top 5 all time QB talent.  His first full season as the defacto starting QB and he is putting up all-time numbers.

I'm willing to bet advanced metrics would shoot all kinds of holes in the weight of those all time numbers. I'm sure his yards per snap are miles behind Bish and Ell's jr and sr seasons. Our eyes aren't lying. He gets a great deal more snaps because of the offenses, the change in the play clock, and frankly we don't really blow teams out anymore. There were countless games where those other guys would play one drive in the 3rd quarter.

That's a great point MIR. I will say tho, the playing field has evened out a bit more from back in the DOD1. Sun belt teams are playing with power 5 conference teams and FCS teams are hanging in there too. Don't forget Waters had to share time last year too, so his stats might be hurting a bit from that as well. However, we did have the first game, Utep, and TT for Waters to sit. I think it evens out a bit if you throw in all those factors.

Please don't ever compare Jake to Bishop or Ell.  Probably shouldn't compare him to Klein either.  Beasley is really the only comparison that should be getting thrown around.

Wow, Waters is much more comparable to Klein than I thought, especially considering Jones gets all the close rushing TDs.

How did we give '11 klein more than 300 carries? Holy crap that is absurd.

because we have to give Jones the ball close does not make Collin and Jake more comparable.

Lockett was wide open.  Aside from that, waters has been total dog crap today.  Injured, I guess.
