Keeping the north face of the new vanier as far south as possible will allow for kimball to shift south and the set back requirements be met when we finally add a new indoor practice facility across the street (north of kimball)

I have faith that it will look good.

I'm also disappointed in the aluminum panels on the inside of the wsc and new vanier. Would really have been worth the cost for rough face Limestone like the outside. Even large smooth Limestone panels would have looked 10x better

i'm not sure i "expected" anything dax, but a good amount of football stadiums are built in a way that you can walk around the entire stadium and never leave a row. like walk down to row six and then start walking down row six and then just keep walking and walking and walking and then boom you magically get back to the same place. if not this then a lot of stadiums at least don't have ten feet patches of grass between sections.

I can't think of a single college football stadium built in the last 50 years that is fully encircled. The few that come to mind are incredibly old, like WPA projects and older. You might find one or two but a majority don't completely wraparound. Even new Kyle Field has a small wedge.

my main issue would be this: if you look at the maps/layout thingys, the new Vanier doesn't even extend as far north as the current one. so we're building this thing all close with super steep stands simply because we don't want to add a couple hundred to capacity to match the grade of the SEZ? seems like we're not looking to the future and limiting what we can do in the corners with this set up, ya know?

I think it's weird they're building the terraces on top of part of the student section. Seem cannibalistic

It is weird but students always flock as close to mid field as possible and leave a good portion of that section open.
