I didn't realize how much ppl hate Seth Rogen and James Franco. I mean, JFC, chill out ppl. They've brought some laughs into our lives. Do they hit homeruns all the time? No, nobody does. Relax, it's Thursday.

I don't understand why everyone is terrified on N. Korean terrorists.  They have no street cred.  Have they killed anyone ever?

Is this the largest blackmailing of a private company?  I mean, that basically says that Sony now has an anonymously manned filter they have to run all future content through.

It's very embarrassing the theaters felt threatened by North Korea.  I don't blame Sony as much as I do the cinemas.  A little research on North Korea being a physical threat should have put a little water on this lit match.

Sony could GAF about bombings.  They don't want private financials released.  I heard a radio thing on this and the guest was saying that if financials were released, agents could get info on profitability of films and reverse engineer their way into understanding the OH&P of films leading to the ability to leverage higher talent contracts going forward.  I am sure there are a bagillion other things that could sink Sony by financials being released too.

I heard a completely diff take this morning on the radio saying that this may be a marketing technique to peak interest for when they eventually do release it.

They were going to lose money when moviegoers avoided it and other sony movies on Opening Day and in order to recoup their losses through an insurance policy, it has to be a complete loss. The insurance companies wouldn't pay out for a partial loss.  That and the private financials.

everyone already knows how much money a movie grosses. everyone already knows how much money each actor makes per film. everyone already knows how much studios pay out to crews, writers, special effects studios, etc. There's not really much to leverage.

This movie would be one of the highest grossing films of all time if Sony were to release it now. I'm a little bit torn on whether I'd like to see that happen or not.
