Another win over Wichita State. Back to .500 at 23-23 not bad considering we were 13-19 at one point in the season. Hopefully we keep this momentum going against Oklahoma this weekend.

Out scored 22-1 in last two L's at OU.  We're tied with Baylor at 6-12, and we have 1/2 game lead over KU for the last spot in the Big XII tournament.  Thinking we need series win at minimum and possibly sweep of KU to lock this thing up before heading to Ft Worth.

Took the last two against KU to take the series. We have taken 6 of the last seven series against KU. For KU to jump us they would have to take 2 of 3 at Oklahoma State and hope we get sweeped by TCU. We are also tied with Baylor and we hold the tie breaker. Baylor ends the season at Texas.

Just a measly 4 years ago we as K-State fans probably spent the longest time paying attention to K-State sports during sports year (in this case '12-'13) we ever have.    Watching the bat cats on ESPN and/or listening on the streaming app while mobile.    Conference titles, post season play.

No we suffer through bowl game routs, no basketball postseason and needing a "Miracle on Grass", but golly, look at that new video board, #family, world class student athlete experience, charitable involvement, doing it the right way . . .  :jerk:

It doesn't take a 2008 KU year for me to stay focused on K-State sports, 'Dax. You should to learn to love life during the peaks and valleys.

Yeah, clearly I've lost my focus on K-State sports.   Do you even understand what you post?

I'm like one of the best bloggers on this blog, dax. Of course I understand what I post.

You've never even come close to experiencing the valley's with K-State sports that I have, yet, I'm still here.   It's a totally different era in a completely different financial paradigm, and there's no reason for "valleys" to last years anymore.   Not at a school that spends over $70 million a year on sports while fielding the bare minimum number of teams to be considered a full time D1 athletic department.  Right now the K-State men's sports valley is moving into its third year when you take in the across the board performance and trajectory.    The best K-State men's finish this year was 3rd place at the Big 12 outdoor track meet, with the big 3 men's sports finishing 8th, 8th, 8th.    I don't care if other people only care about the revenue sports.   At the end of the day I don't really care what happens at other schools (yes, do I like to make fun of other schools and do I pay attention to what they do? Sure, I'm a typical sports fanatic in that regard, plus I can't help but want to talk about some of the absolute idiocy that comes from the mouths and keyboards of their fans), I don't care if other schools that spend more money then K-State also under perform, I only care about K-State . . . at the end of the day.

I've been calling for Brad Hill's head for years. Apparently one good year gives him a lifetime contract in non-revenue sports. So sad. Also, i've said this before, but my HS coach (scout for the cardinals now) said we're going to be dynamite for the next 4 years, because of the recruiting class we have coming in. Brad is practically oscar.

Watching the Big 12 baseball tourney and an obviously knowledgeable announcer stated TTech and OSU have turned their programs around the last few years by being more talented, because they're recruiting better. Pretty increds breakdown and a reason to get excited about future Batcat squads if the recruiting remains solid.

Yeah, apparently we hired an assistant in the last couple of years that's the BITB when it comes to recruiting and it's already showing with some of the classes we have coming in. -Via scout/hs coach of mine. Can't remember the coaches name.

So does this mean we don't have to fire Brad just yet?
