Wes was a solid college player, but I think he is getting drafted (if so) more on pro potential than on college production. His impact at K-State was solid, but it was the same for both his JR and SR seasons (3rd team level).
DJamer was very solid, but he never even got HM.
We return 2 guys that were all newcomer as FR (Wade and Brown). I think the impact of Wes and DJamer can be replaced at a base level with those 2, plus potentially solid guys like Kam, Sneed, and maybe Maurice. Its not like DJamer and Wes caused us to be a great defensive team and our offense was very up and down. There is plenty coming back, given decent improvement, that next year's team should be able to play at a .500 (ish) Big 12 level and be a bubble team (again).
Now, to go above and beyond that guys like Diarra or Love need to be impact guys, or somehow one of our 3 star recruits needs to be a Foster type, or we need to somehow land an impact JUCO or grad transfer with our final spot.
Either way I don't think its crazy to think we'll repeat this year's level of "success" with next year's team. I get that some Big 12 teams potentially could be better, but I think others have significant losses that could offset that. Also, while we may not repeat this year's road/neutral success (which was pretty solid), its reasonable that we should/could be better at home in Big 12 play.
