He may be my favorite K-State coach ever.

Yeah, I said it.

Definitely mine. He was kind of corny sometimes, but he gave us all something special, a basketball program to be proud of again.

Did I see Curtis Kelly talking to Frank on the sideline immediately after his post-game interview or was I hallucinating? Brought me back to when CK hit that jumper in the early moments of the KSU vs Duke game in KC and CK started talking trash in Coach K's face.

How did everyone feel about Frank's suit?

Frank's gotta be Frank.
Very happy for him and his team on the win, although it blew up one of my brackets.

He is definitely my favorite K-State coach ever.  All sports included.

wasn't a huge fan of Assaley's maroon paisley tie yesterday but i got to admit he was looking good.  satan's chin strap beard needs to go though and i'd tell that to his face.

Do you guys remember when our AD told him he needs to sit down more during a game?  Or when they made him apologize for saying a bad word?

And one time during the tournament we used a trashcan receipt to suspend his best rebounder before a game against Syracuse....memories

had a blast when he was here, but at the end of the day, when the going got tough at K-State, Frank got going.

Then he would rip your arms off and beat you with them.

I loved that Frank was unique.  Winning with a boring or even dorky coach would still be nice, but winning with Frank was on another level.  He made it really fun and I miss that.

I'm happy for Frank.  A lot of people here and nationally doubted him when he got the job and he did well.  When he went to SC a lot of people here said he wouldn't build that program into anything.  The guy does a good job of doing this his way and turning out some wins.  I hope SC values him.

I kind of doubted SC will ever care much about basketball, but then I heard how loud the crowd was at the Duke/USC game.  But then I realized a lot of those were just UNC fans, so I'm still not sure.

the game was played in South Carolina

I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for getting the hell out when they're in a hostile work environment with a micromanaging boss that has no real interest in working with them and actively makes their job more difficult. It would've taken LHC Bill Snyder levels of loyalty on Frank's part to keep him here, and that's something that only comes around once in a generation at best for a school like KSU. I don't blame him for looking elsewhere in the least.

The anti-Frankers on twitter/Facebook are a trip. Similar to the folks that try to discredit Brad, but even more over the top in trying to discredit Frank. Its really amazing how much people are willing to accept being mediocre.

Any chance it's just poorly expressed jealousy of their success or anger about our own program? I'm assuming it's mostly men, we aren't known for handling emotions super well. Especially not the tucky folks I am guessing are trying to discredit both. I'm painting with broad strokes.

Or maybe I live in a bubble and only come into contact with people who want oscar gone. Some don't like Frank and or Brad's move either.

Frank's last few team were mediocre and they weren't exactly trending up.

It was 100% Frank. It's part of his charm (oversized, ill-fitting suits). Does he have Gamecock cowboy boots yet?
I'm in it purely for the entertainment value.

Over 95% of the production for nearly every statistical category came from Frank's players in 2013 and Frank's final team had a higher kenpom rating than any of oscar's teams including the 2013 Big 12 co-champs.

Jamar posting a few times on a Wildcat Salute thread is pretty entertaining.
