They are chanting overrated in a loss

Just a tremendous moral victory for the Hawks... One for the ages really.  There are dozens of fans that leave that contest with a story for the ages.

To put things in perspective, tcu's conference road win at ku could very well cost them a shot at the playoffs. That's the state of disrepair of ku's football program.

Meanwhile Arkansas won it's first sec game in nearly 3 years against a ranked LSU and nobody seems altogether surprised

He's so tough

I mean, to battle through a shoulder injury, in that cold, against that kind of defense, and still not afraid to tuck it and run or take a big hit to deliver a throw.  that's the kind of heart, toughness i'd expect out of a leader of a football team.

Sounds like a slam on our quy waters........i guess you can cheer for that qb that is leading his team to one conference win, or one guy that has his team tied in the conference....... :sdeek:

I was just really impressed with how cummings battled through his injury.  I mean, he's QB'ing for a one conf win team, there really wasn't much on the line, but he just kept sticking his nose in there even though he  knew he'd get hit.  it's like, even though they aren't a good team, in that game he recognized that it was important, and said "eff it, this is what is going to help my team win".  that's what being a leader is all about.  as an outside observer, it was impressive.

The KU broadcast crew we mentioning how this KU team is playing better than they have in "several years."  They went on and on about it.  Then they kinda mused about how they hoped Zenger notices, as if they had little confidence that he would....they seemed to be imploring everyone to heed their advice and stick with Bowen.  It was really something.

They were also asking/begging people to come to the game at halftime and to start the 3rd quarter.

Bob Davis and David Lawrence on that intentional grounding call when it took the refs forever to throw the flag

The dejection in Bob's voice at the end and David having to reach deep to lift his spirits.

A roller coaster ride of homerism, excitement, butthurt, jubilition and dejection

I was hoping those Rough Ridin Fighting Jayhawks would pull it out.

I was listening to the 4th quarter in the car, and found myself wondering if there is another broadcasting crew in America that complains more about the officiating.

I was driving on the turnpike at the time, and though I know they are homers, I was shocked and how violently angry they got, and how that anger was maintained even after they got the call.

Oh crap, the Raiders might have private money too?   :ohno:

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/11/16/7229417/jim-harbaugh-head-coach-49ers-raiders-job

Quote
"At this point it would be a surprise if Jim Harbaugh is back with the 49ers," Rapoport claimed on NFL GameDay Morning Sunday, adding that success the rest of the season would probably have little impact on the team's decision. This echoes earlier reports that not even a Super Bowl title could extend Harbaugh's tenure in San Francisco.

And according to Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins, long rumored as a potential landing spot for Harbaugh, are no longer an option. Miami's recent success apparently has convinced ownership to keep head coach Joe Philbin around and, in any case, Harbaugh is "not on the Dolphins' radar." Moreover, Harbaugh's wife does not want to leave the Bay Area, limiting the number of locations he can consider.

BUT, it does seem that it is being universally accepted that his wife will have a strong influence in where they go.  Could this mean that she will list Lawrence as an acceptable substitute to the Bay Area?   :ohno:

Again, I was stunned.   We're a little more jammed up with D1 programs out this way, so that affords a chance to listen to many broadcasts on gamedays when you're out and about and if you're driving at night you can pick up all kinds of SEC and BiG broadcasts . . . and Bob and Dave react the most "violently" of any crew I've ever heard.

Can't do that.  She is also his tie to this area.  She just needs a little more "convincing"

What difference does it make, if it's in Oakland. Although Memorial stadium is crumbling and in lawrence...

I think the fact that the Raiders have been good and al Davis is dead make Oakland a better job by far.

Phog is saying that Bowen getting the job all comes down to the game against KSU. Pull the upset or keep it close and the job is his.

Sheesh, how many Super Bowls can the katz play in one year?!
