Long Beach State shot 54.7 percent from the floor Tuesday, but were undone at the other end as the 49ers dropped another high-scoring road affair at Xavier, 97-74. Mike Caffey led the 49ers with 20 points, while Tyler Lamb added 17 in his return to the starting lineup.
Looks like Long Beach has good guards, but crap defense.   Lots of points worth staying late.

I just saw on the bottom line that UNO (our next opponent, not the pizza or card game) beat Nevada by 24 today. I'm sort of a history buff, and I remember Nevada being pretty good somewhat recently. Should we be nervous?

Kenpom (#178) and the ESPN rpi (#219) think they're bad.  They did beat a down Marquette, but also lost to a not good Seattle by 24.

If we lose to the seeing eye school of Nebraska Omaha, I will go berserk and likely start self mutilation like wiping with steel wool for a week.   Tenn will be tough at Hillbilly ARena for the game after UNO.

Tennessee is 2-3.  They recently lost two of their assistant coaches due to an NCAA investigation at Southern Miss.  Both resigned.  Hilarious that they hired a guy that looks like Donnie Tyndall and he brought possible sanctions with him.  SEC!

Omaha beat Nevada and Marquette at Marquette, who beat Tennessee and Georgia Tech.

They also lost to Nebraska.
