Would be awesome if Marcus is working (well) at the PG like he says. It may take away some of his scoring but if Edwards gets on the floor because of it then so be it.

This team will be at it's best if Jevon can play point guard at a high level. oscar will have to get creative to make sure that Wes and Edwards get their minutes, but he should be able to make it work. Especially since Wes can play the four.

If Edwards or Foster can play the point than the line up should be Foster, Edwards, Westicles, Gilson/Harris, hurt/Bolden. I think Westicles is our best option by far at the three and I'd like to see him play most of his minutes there

Jevon and Nigel should be the two best on the ball defenders on the team this year, sliding Marcus off the ball and keeping him out of foul trouble. Also oscar's offense needs shooters, Marcus and Edwards. I think our best line up will be....

Jevon
Marcus
Edwards
Gip
Hurt

This will allow us to have a 9 man rotations with Nigel (playing the 1 & 2), Wesley (playing the 3 & 4), DJamer (playing the 4 & 5) and Nino at the 4 to play small. We will be able to sub in Nigel for Jevon when we need more shooting. Sub Wesley in for Edwards when we need defense.

Kinda OT here, but A+ source had starting line up as:

PG: Nigel
SG: Foster
SF: Westicles
PF: Gipson
C: Hurt

any chance that line up changes between now and our first practice?

Hopefully injuries will not be the big suprise this year especially to Gip.  We may be glad to have so much depth.  Who do you think will start and be the first sub in for each position.
PG  Nigel/ Jevon
SG   Marcus/ Edwards
C  Gip/ DJamer
SF Wes/ Malek
PF Nino/ Hurt
We may see some wierd configurations though.

I like Nino and Gip because they are men who can play mean and nasty.  The type who will gnaw the net off at the final 4 instead of cutting with sissors.  The kind who tells the towel boy it ain't sweat they are wiping off the floor.  Mean attitude is a special weapon in college ball.

The ideal candidate you're describing for scholarship sounds to be deranged, mentally unsound, or even handicapped?

renocat has an excellent point.  Niño and Gip have always struck as the type of guys who would j/o on the court in order to win.  Real men stuff.  Not a lot of people willing to do that.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

on opposite day. nino is rolling around grimacing with what appears to be a career ending injury once every 4 minutes of court time.

The biggest suprise may be the whole collective group -- 24+ wins, beating KU twice, and going to at least the elite 8.  Glad the coaches are recruiting stud players.  I would rather have a on going elite program than be a 1 or 2 year wonder like Butler, but I wouldn't squeal if we made the final 4.

Dang Renocat you are smart 'ol turd!!!  A dung beetle would love to take you home to mom. So Cat fans have spastic fingers and can't type?.  We are about to have our best bb team in a long time -- lets hear your wildest dreams.  With our depth and athletes, slow motion grinder ball is gone.  Like a swarm of man eating locust we will be a whirl of terror.  Fast paced defense that is sustained will make other teams willie burgers.  A fast motion offense will eave opponents mouths opened and nauseated by the blur of purple going by them, shooting over them, attacking with bigs.   Purple people on the plains are excited.
