I'll give zero shits about recruiting/NSD until we have a staff in place that actually puts some effort towards it and pays more attention to it than their retirement plans.

It's much healthier.

good or bad, the strength of our classes doesn't matter.  science shows that even if we signed a top 10 class, we won't play the elites and they'll leave after 2 years.

they hire beaty because he's a stud texas recruiter yet beaty can't recruit because the k-state run kansas legislature won't allow ku to fix their stadium

Look at the schools ahead of us in recruiting this year. It really is impressive to think that we are beneath San Diego State, UNLV, Purdue, and Memphis in recruiting

Seems a positive for a new HC hire.  I mean, we do mediocre to well with low recruiting, have a strong attendence, and great facilities.  A good HC should see that as a really good thing, imo.

I see two Kansas kids on the KU signee list: one from Highland CC and the other from Lawrence.  I anticipate a monster walk-on class from them.

Recruiting rankings are an exact science? Was not aware of that until about 3 minutes ago.

If you sort by Avg star rating kstate catapults up the rankings to just ahead of Iowa state. If you assume we sign a half dozen more guys with 2* 5.4 ratings we rocket up the polls to just ahead of CU, and their salty "didn't give up 50 points on D as many times as usual last season" defense.
