Has anyone ever grown their hair out? I'm a military brat so I've always had short hair. But I do have nice hair and I think I'm ready to let it flow. But how do you get through that super awkward middle stage? Like now it's nice and neat and then it'll be just everywhere! Do you just stop cutting it all together or do you keep the neck neat and such? Do you talk over a strategy with your barber? Also how do you resist the outside pressure to quit looking like a damn mess and cut it? Also, I assume it's ball cap time every minute you're not at work? Super worried here guys. it's always been a fantasy, but my hair is horrible for being long. Its very coarse and thick and wiry and sticks out everywhere. Its like dog hair and clogs up even industrial strength clippers

have not read the whole thread, but I haven't had a haircut (not even a trim) since april and I'm kinda just rollin' with it. Not sure what to do next.
