Has AA always had nine (9) boarding groups? :sdeek:

no, just revamped last year.   It's actually 10, the first boarding group isn't numbered.   I went from a group 2 to group 5 IIRC.

slightly more baffling is on international flights you drop from group 5 to 6.

Rewarded for loyalty not remembering to login 23:59 before my flight.

Very efficient

Sounds inefficient

it's somewhat deceiving as some groups only have a handful of people.

Also this plane has giant burnt yellow and red physical buttons to turn on the light or call a flight attendant. (They were called stewardesses back when this metal came out of the forge). Stunted is such a complete idiot

I went to Yosemite this weekend and holy crap. I'd never been before and now I don't know how people don't lose their complete crap after visiting. It's amazing. (And a four hour drive away) :sdeek:

Would you rather spend three days in Houston or three days in Austin/San Antonio? What's good there?

It has improved things quite a bit.  Now there aren't 25 people in "Group 1" slowing everything down by getting in the way of all the First Class and various elite status members.  Calling the 5th boarding group "Group 5" is pretty nice.
:adios:

Houston is a crap hole.   Austin is a fun town, never been to S/A.

you know, I never knew Yosemite was basically due west of KC (a little south).   Always assumed it was more northerly like Yellowstone.

In that same vein, I was taken aback when I learned where I was living in Montana was further north than Maine.
