Also, I really thought we'd get more than 1 off of Sabathia tonight.

bases loaded, no outs, and we get 1. Needed a big inning. Cain's strikeout looking was a back breaker. With runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out, you can't strike out looking. Cain has to foul off anything close. If he pops up, he pops up, but you can't go down looking there. Putting the ball in play could've changed this entire game.

True. He wasn't going to go the entire year scoring the run from third with less than 2 out. It was a good run.

He also shut down the Tigers and made them look like dumb dorks. We have two off days this week, so you could potentially skip his start or move him back without bringing up anyone else.

5/17 Volquez
5/18 off
5/19 Ventura
5/20 Guts
5/21 off
5/22 Young
5/23 Duffy's turn, but Volquez could go here on regular rest. I dunno, maybe push him back to the series after STL and give him time to get things together without optioning him to Omaha.

Didn't get the timely hitting and caught a bad break when Hos 50/50 call on fair/ foul ball was calked foul.

I think Duffy gets 1 more start because Of Vargas 15 DL stint.   But seriously, Chris Young is 1 of our 5 starters now.  If you are not on board with that... Then u suck.  I posted when Young had allowed 4 hits in 59 ABs. He know has allowed 11 hits in 109 ABs.

Someone has to get bounced from the rotation when everyone is healthy. Ventura much more encouraging than Duff right now.  I hope after AS break, our top 4 pitchers include volquez Ventura Young and Duffy.... But right now this isn't the case.

I hope they skip his next start. I don't want to bring anyone up else to start. Vargas should be back for the SL series if he is needed. Next series worst case.   That would give Duff and pitching coach several days to work on issues. Then make the call...

I would love..
5/17 Vol
5/19 Vent
5/20 Guts
5/22 Young
5/23 vol
5/24 Vent
5/25 Vargi
5/26 and onward...  We'll see

But as I said, Young is a starter now iMO. Who gets demoted???  Duff is most likely candidate as of 5/16

Even if Duffy can go to Omaha I wouldn't send him. I think working with Eiland is better than whoever they have as Omaha's pitching coach.

Can we even send Duffy to Omaha without him having to clear waivers first?

I believe the only 40-man roster players out of options are Dyson and Kratz. (Coleman was out of options, but cleared waivers; that's why he was able to be assigned to Omaha. He was also removed from the 40-man.) That said, I'm not convinced sending Duff to Omaha is the answer. Maybe after another bad start or two in which he can't consistently command his fastball...but not yet.

ned isn't going to skip a start or send him down or do anything that shakes his already shaky confidence. duffy needs to figure this crap out and ned will give him every opportunity to do so.

Ned sent Moose down last year and it seemed to work for him. I know it's easy to forget because now he's been the best hitting 3B in the AL this season but Moose was pretty darn terrible at the beginning of last season.

Monarchs are easily my favorite specialty jerseys and I love the old KC. During the really rough years I was advocating re-branding officially as the Monarchs.

And yes, it's ridiculous that the Yankees didn't want to participate in this.

Good inning, but could have been way more with 2nd and 3rd and no outs and got neither runner in.
