Topeka crime on the rise

Since January of 2010, Topeka has seen double the number of murders and rapes compared to the same period last year. Robbery and assault are up nearly 50 percent, and theft, arson and burglary have all gone up.

hmmm, I've only seen one person murdered since I moved here. I think they are exaggerating the numbers.

Who wants to live amongst so many govt employees? Haven't they spent anytime at City Hall or the DMV?

Obvious whoever wrote that has never actually been there.

Topeka is a dump with a small oasis of slightly less dumpy areas sprinkled in.

One time I saw a 12 year old girl get taken down at a Wal-Mart for shop lifting.

Had a car stereo stolen from my car, I found the stereo down the road a bit. They must have discovered it was an AIWA after they stole it and threw it out the window.

The real crime here is that, to the rest of the nation, Topeka is KS.

Topeka would cease to exist if it wasn't the capitol.

The only thing Topeka has to offer anyone, other than access to the govt, is bad smells and racing fans. If you like bad smells or racing fans, or if this somehow fits your businesses core needs, then Topeka is where you want to be.
