k let me say it differently. The Cubs have a core of young talent, combined with really really good pitching, and their young position players still have upside. I can't remember very many teams looking this promising to be good for a long time.

YES, definitely. they will be good for quite a while.

you know what i was getting at though? it's not the 1998 yankees and their 114 win season that was great. it's the entire late 90's-early 00's yankees that won a zillion regular season games and like 200 postseason games and 4 world series in 5 years that makes them great
