But yeah, the majority of Winston hate came from the ridiculous nepotizz. I seem to remember a couple of fumbles at the goalline, but overall a vurry solid player. Still hate him because I loved Baby Gronk so much and the ridiculously fun times it brought us. Also MIR's Boobie Miles reference was A+. That's what I thought of seriously every single time we had guys getting the ball all the way down the field only to watch the OC call his son's number from the 1 yard-line.

It was in reference to giving past players/coaches family members scholarships. Right after skinbens post about the sextons, dimel, etc. He somehow blacked out on the locketts however and Dimel was good.

Can a list be made of Dimel's plays that show the context and result?  Like score, yard-line, down & distance, etc.?

My memory of this season is that during the usual scoring spots he'd get the ball and, at least against decent teams, fail to score once or twice more often than he scored, and then we'd do something else to try to score.  But I def wouldn't rely on my memory, assuming I even watched the plays originally.

There is a chance, can’t be certain, that a collection of posts on this board does not reflect the majority of posters.

And, stay with my logic on this, a collection of posters on this board similarly may not reflect the broader KSU fan base.

So, I think it might be possible that a few posts on this board may not impact the impression a player has of the overall feelings of the entire KSU fan base.

Dimel was generally reliable at the goal line, and a fair substitute for the QB sneak in our apparently new effort to not destroy our QBs starting with Sky.

No I'm pretty certain that Dimel left because of mean posts by Rick Daris.

It's a collection of the fanbase, especially if you read other outlets like Kansas states fans on FB, twitter, etc. But i'm sure you're right. He never got any of that feedback.

How many random +20 yard passes were incomplete to him this year? Instead of trying to work with our shity receivers we are throwing deep to our fullback ? Only a dad would call crap up like this to pad his kids stats.

I'm not saying he wasn't one of our better players, because I think he did great in a lot of aspects but some of the crap we tried with him was just dumb.

players (current and former) do seem to get fairly butthurt on twitter when their team is criticized by fans that may not have even played the sport, so wacky may be basing his entire point on that.

If you are judging a FB by the 5% of downs where he carried the ball or was a receiving target and not the 95% of snaps where he was blocking then you don't really know what a full back does so who cares.

Winston was an excellent blocker and played his role in the offense very well.

This is also exactly why I did not have a problem with giving it to Dimel at the goal line.  He proved he can get short yardage and hold onto the ball.  Why not reward the guy who has been crushing LBs all day so our RBs can get free?  OU fans didn't complain when Blake Bell got the ball in goal line situations even after he did basically nothing to get them there.
