I would've liked to see Colon on the bench.  Also, it looks like the Giants are playing sans shortstop so that should help us.

I would too, still don't really understand Nix over Colon. The only thing I can figure out is if there's an in game injury Ned likes Nix and his ability to play both infield and outfield.

I think we're set up pretty well to play "National League baseball". Billy, Willingham, Aoki, and Kratz are all pretty decent pinch hit options plus we still have Gore's speed and Nix ( :Yuck:) if we need a sub on the infield.

If we need more than that it's either a really long extra inning game where both teams are throwing everything they have onto the field, or both pitching staffs have imploded and the score is something in the 18-16 range

Yeah, I think people are forgetting about the NL. I'm assuming the mention of Kratz likely batting implied batting for a pitcher with a new pitcher replacement the next inning.

I have listened to it 30 times. I had my wife and children listen to it about 5-7 times. dobberjr was singing along. Toddlerdobber was dancing. (None of that is gEing except the part where I call my kids by an extension of my board name.)

I would not bet on Kratz batting unless a game goes extra innings

Pinch hitters will rank as follows:
Butler
Willingham
Aoki
Kratz
Nix
Gore

Don't think we'd risk subbing in our backup catcher who hasn't hit in a month like that. What happens if Salvy gets hurt?

That's why I agree he's probably pretty low in the PH order, probably only ahead of Gore and Nix.

Not ahead of Nix, but let's be honest, neither of those guys are pinch hitting
