Gold Glove Gordon.

All the focus was on Cain after the DS (and rightfully so) but oh yea America, our LF has a pretty damn good glove too

Congrats to England on their domination of a country roughly the size of Leavenworth

Ha, stole a couple points from those Dallas dorks last night

For anyone looking to choose a team DO NOT BE LIKE 8MP!!!! Don't do it. The Blackhawks are the NHLs version of the St. Louis Cardinals.
More like the Royals. Fast, scrappy, ultra-talented. Favorites to win the league. Etc.
Just like Cardinals fans

Stars should only get better once Spezza and Hemsky get settled in.

Well, until they get hurt anyways

Yes, he finally got demoted and is wearing the A. I said one of the captains.

I just saw this, SJ going with the rotating C to change the leadership culture. What's next, no names on the jerseys?

Joe Thornton (for the LHIQ)

The entire East division could vanish and I wouldn't care

'cept lightning of course.

You could go with them 'bias, be buds with Winters

Lighting would be a very good choice. Fun team to watch. Though they're handling of Martin last year annoyed me.

I'd recommend the Blues, but if you won't choose the Sharks cause of th Earthquake you won't choose them because of the Cardinals. Plus they're heartbreaking to follow.

You're breakin my heart here 'bias

are the sharks san jose?  dunno if I can do that

Trust me in this, don't base your NHL team off their city. I love the Blues but St. Louis can get mumped.

And Arizona is going to have a very tough year this year (sorry MiR). Not that they're a bad team, the West is just ridiculous.

i actually enjoy hockey a lot i just never know what channel they are on and stuff

I have the Gamecenter deal on my iPad but Cox has a free trial of Center Ice right now, unfortunately there's not a lot of games on regular channels

yeah the NHL lost a large viewing base like 10 years ago or something when they didnt sign a big deal to keep it with nbc iirc

You mean ABC/ESPN,  NBC has the package now. The NHL had no choice but to take the NBC deal, they negotiated the rights after the lockout and the bid from ESPN was terrible. FWIW the NHL has never had good network coverage in America. Last season there were more network games televised than ever including the first regular season prime time game in league history. NBC has extended their coverage even more this season.

i knew it was one of the bigger networks, couldnt remember which one.  where i was living at the time the Avalanche were the team, so it was a lot of fun for those Avs vs Red Wings series, and roy being the stud goalie.  i still enjoy watching hockey when its actually on and i have the channel.  i think a IRL NHL game would be awesome.

IRL NHL games are great. Anytime someone tries to tell me they don't like hockey I ask if they've ever actually been to a game. Usually around here you get "Well I went to a Thunder game one time and got really drunk".

Yea, I think it was around the time of the lockout (the one before the last one). It sucks being an out of market hockey fan.

Welp, there's the Blues in a nutshell. Spend $7 mil/per on a player, gets taken out on a knee on knee first game, opponent only gets a minor

Baltimore population has gone down nearly 400,000 people in the last 40 years

10,000 murders a year sounds about right for that shithole.

Does our team take an armored bus to the game? Wear Kevlar around the hotel? Our team is much to dreamy to have to worry about getting shot by all those jealous ugos.

I don't know crap about injuries, but something tells me that not all torn acls are equal.

Pendergast is partly right. Straight ACL tears are common, but if any of the other damages occur (probably 75% in sport related tears but that's just a guess) that's when the person is often unable to walk. A straight ACL tear simply eliminates the ability of the knee to stop the lower leg from moving in front of the upper leg. Obviously you can't play a sport like that, but walking shouldn't be affected

Someone must have hacked ERII's account a couple weeks ago. He's been a huge Royals fan ever since I've known him the Royals started winning

It's crazy to think that Toronto once had a baseball team.

You're thinking of Montreal, Toronto still has a team.
