Wow, with each transfer/dsimissal, oscar gets an additional year.  It's simply amazing.

couple facts:

a) our recruiting has been dogshit (outside of foster). if there is a recent trend here it is negative (negative from dogshit is pretty bad guys)

b) oscar is an unlikable weirdo who cannot handle or get along with his players. this isn't a new thing since he arrived at ksu. it was well documented prior to him getting here.

I mean, where does that leave us? are we just hoping that these things suddenly change because oscar lost half of the team? why not just bite the bullet and fire him now? there is almost zero chance that this thing turns around.
Our fans mentality is to find kids who don't hold the same apparent ability as higher rated kids.  Then take them,  work them, coach them, and develop them.  Maybe currie is caught up in this and thinks that oscar has that diamond in him but needs some more rough removed.

oscar should die his hair, change his name and then just tell everyone that he's here to clean up the mess that the previous staff left. make people start calling coach ricky. say stuff like "well i don't care how the previous guy did it. we're going to do it this way!"

I can not overstate the irony of the shield of "cleaning house" being wielded by the same people that argued Frank being forced out prevented "mass defections" because Frank had "lost the team."

Delicious

My next favorite bit of irony is oscar talking about players not being accountable when he has taken no accountability.

If oscar coaches 4 years has a Big 12 championship and makes the NCAA twice. I think you can shrug your shoulders and be fine with it.

sure if it was like this:

Year before oscar: 15-17, No post Season
Hire oscar
Year 1: 18-15, 1 win in Big XII tourney, NIT
Year 2: 16-16, 1 win in Big XII tourney, no postseason
Year 3: 24-10, 2 wins in Big XII tourney, NCAA 1st round loss
Years 4: 29-7, Big XII Title, 3 seed, sweet 16 etc.

But it ain't like that is it

If he is gone next year, I don't think he could of had a shorter tenure and got more out of it. I don't think anybody wants him here anymore. Might as well get the most out of it in the shortest amount time possible.

I've talked to several IRL people who DO want him here anymore. Not old grandpas either. Like under 35 year old fans.

oscar Weber has made me seriously reconsider some of my friendships. I really can't understand wanting to give him any more time at this point. Yet, here we are, and plenty of people are rough ridin' stoked that he's "cleaning up this program", like it was somebody else's mess.

he loved nigel, this is his denial stage. please give him space to grieve.

I take it Coach laid down the law!! Those that want to follow the rules stay!!! Those who don't...leave!! If this is indeed what happened, good he's gone!
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Yeah.

Mixed, losing this many freshmen when you also lose guys that have been here magnifies the problem. So it matters to me.

I think Keeping Orris, Krap and Harris would of been bigger failures. It would be compounding a failure getting to the point of recruiting all of those guys it a failure in itself.

I totally forgot Orris even existed.   Also, how was recruiting and signing Harris a bad thing?
