Is it best he be a stud or something less. If he's really, really good, chances are he tells smelly old oscar to eff off just like Angel, right?

Angel came to play for Frank.

Jevon came to play for oscar.

IIRC, Mr Bread had said oscar didn't have many contributors leave.

So probably if you are true BID or TYS then you want Jevon to suck.

I wants him to be a stud/boss just like I want all my Wildcats to be studs/bosses.

Very logical, but I don't think Thomas came to play for oscar so much as the best program that would have him with his academics. With that resolved, there will be lots of options, and given the transfer environment of today's game . . .

If Jevon isn't lighting in a bottle, this year is going to suck really bad.

Possibly.

Its a bit much of me to say oscar, but clearly the recruits like Frazier and Brooks. As long as those guys are around then I don't think oscar will have problems with retaining players.

I am a true BID and I hope that Thomas is better than Kobe.

I don't know how you can be true BID then. That would only make oscar stay around longer.

Even if Jevon is lightning in a bottle, it still doesn't change the fact that Gip is, literally, the only basketball player on our roster's front court.  And he is slow, short and, generally, pretty sucky against taller players.

http://www.kansas.com/2013/12/18/3186112/kansas-state-anticipates-on-court.html

Quote
How long before he enters the playing rotation? K-State coach oscar Weber can’t say. It won’t be against Gonzaga on Saturday. Thomas needs to learn Weber’s motion offense and to build relationships with teammates in practice before he is a candidate for playing time.

But that could happen quickly. Thomas could see the floor against Tulane on Dec. 28 or in one of K-State’s final nonconference games. At the least, he will be a factor at the start of Big 12 play.

And...

Quote
"The transition for us as a team is going to be difficult, because he is a lot faster than our point guard right now," senior guard Shane Southwell said. "It will be different, but he can help us. He will have an impact on the first game, not even offensively. He is a very good on-ball defender. That is something we are going to need."

If you are true BID you want our guys to be studs but for oscar to coach them down. Which the motion offense does a great job of.

So if Jevon is good, we'll assume he takes the lion's share of PG minutes?  And Foster will play 30+ at the 2.

Does this mean the Will Spradling experiment finally ends after 4 years??

Welp, it may take all yr to get him in the game.  He is just too fast.  we don't think the rest of the team can play with that right now.

What?

id be pretty ok with him coming off the bench at 2 and making some 3s and hitting his FTs down the stretch of games. a lot like what he did his freshman year with jake there. good for 6-10 points a game with a >.350 3 pt percentage and >.800 FT%.

anything more than that and hes out of his element and well lose.

He should play every min from the instant he is eligible.  Best thing for him to get up to speed (and others to get used to him)as quick as possible.

Yeah, I'm sure Shannon will totally let Currie allow oscar to do this.

Guys, Will is going to play. But hopefully it's more like 25 mpg and not 35+.

I first reported this during last week's #oscar radio coverage.

A new episode begins in less than an hour.
