Not to rush to the defense of the coaching staff or anything, but in this particular case I'm going to.

K-State did everything they could with Tabor. They expressed the most interest from the start, were his first offer, had him up to campus numerous times.

This just appears to be one of those instances where Tabor took to the pitch from KU more. A pitch I'd assume included (obviously) a lot of talk about playing time, a lot of talk about not having to put on weight to play TE - that they'd let him be a natural playmaker wherever, a lot of talk about being a member of the "future". On and on. It's not meant to insult KU, but I think we all know what that pitch probably sounds like. And to a 17 year old, I'd imagine it's more believable coming from a younger, more hip coaching staff than if it were to come from K-State.

It is what it is. Tabor was always going to be a project no matter where he went but he definitely has a lot of potential.

Coming from a father who's son played against Derby...not sure the Tabor kid would of lasted at K-State, needs to improve his work ethic because snyder probably would of ran him off where ku will probably be more lenient with him. Just what I'd heard.
