From now on the band can do their thing inside the indoor practice facility on gameday and we'll tape their performances and show it on the jumbotron.  They are taking up waaay too much prime space in the student section as it is.

I had very constructive criticism and areas of improvement in my post.  I was dead serious.

I love having a band....if used properly.

Bands are a very integral part of the CFB experience.  They should absolutely exist.

However, as SD mentioned, what's the difference between a good band and a bad band?  Would I know a good one if I saw it?  Does that mean our band really wasn't that good because I couldn't tell if it was good or bad?

What I hope is that we'll stop hearing them play the songs from Pirates of the Caribbean at least four or five times a year.

The KSU Band is OK.  It's not easy to judge "how good" a MB is because it depends so strongly on what style you prefer.  Some people (idiots) like that A&M fake military drill stuff, some like the Big 10 self-important bandnerdcore bluster, others like the HBCU loose style and showmanship, and others the "don't care" hipster vibe of west coast schools like Stanford. KSU tries to be Big Ten-like, but in the end the density of bandnerdcore kids is not high to sustain that "enthusiasm" so you get TPOWL.
