I would assume he's pretty comfy in MHK, however if there's a Tracz dream job, its OSU.

Alright I'm gonna share some super secret insider info, this is the type of stuff I usually just PM steve dave but I'll just share it here:

In 2002, on the Holiday Bowl trip the band rehearsed 1 time, for an hour, without instruments. It was a walk through. In 2003, Fiesta Bowl vs. OSU, the band rehearsed 4 times, 2 hours each with instruments on the trip. Tracz was obsessed with looking good for OSU. That says it all really.

Since KSU stupidly places the marching band in a location where a substantial portion of the crowd only hears some sort of monotonous droning coming from down below . . . thus rendering the only exciting thing about the band (other than a couple of segments of pre-game), that being a good Wabash or Wildcat Victory after a TD or something good, utterly meaningless to large chunks of the stadium . . .

Who cares if the guy leaves or not?

The bands main job is to help get the crowd fired up in a cool pre-game ceremony and help keep the crowd fired up during the game. Certainly some band director with a pulse can make that happen, right?

Gatorade color is an integral part of the game. Certain colors/flavors just don't provide the same results. A- sources saying that a 2 parts lemon-lime to 1 part orange combo is 6-1 over the last 2 years while 2 parts red to 1 part lemon-lime is 0-3

First, we fire this Tracz joker right now. BOOM! Message to everyone that you ARE replaceable, so don't even eff around looking at other jobs.

Second, we go hire the #1 assistant at a school that "gets it." We need someone who has been part of a top band operation, that understands that job #1, #2, and #3 is to pump up our crowd and annoy the crap out of the opposing fans and team. Case in point the OU band. Every damn thing that they do that is event remotely positive prompts the band to play that "O - U" refrain. They love it, and we hate the crap out of it. aTm is the same way. They get so much as a 3 yard carry the band plays that refrain of theirs. It becomes infuriating for the opposing team and fans. eff! I mean those schools play that crap in OUR stadium when they visit us.

Tracz's band is run like a bunch of pussies. We never annoy the other teams or schools. Half the time, you don't even know Tracz's band is even there.

....I mean this has got me really fired up. To hell with Tracz. No one wants to play musical instruments for him.

You put a young, aggressive, up and comer in charge of this band, and you get back to the two core values of the band (1 - pump up our crowd, 2 - annoy the crap out of the opposing fans and team), and those kids will play those musical instruments so hard it will make you cry.
