I've seen several of these in the last few days, and maybe it's the K-StateO in me talking but I find it hard to believe Lockett won't be in the top 32 next year. I get it that he's a little small, but that wasn't a problem for several guys this year.

Only 3 receivers made that list.  If TLBL has a big year I don't see how he doesn't break into the top 3 on WRs.  How many teams will be going for WRs next year early?

Not sure if my sarcasm was coming through and you're alley-ooping of me or if you're replying to me. The whole Sams thing has me all out of sorts. Like, so bad that I don't even know if "all out of sorts" is a common phrase or not.

How many 5'7" WRs have ever been drafted in the first round?

Lockett is taller than 5'7" . He's listed as 5'10" or 5'11".

You know the NFL cares about your actually height, not what your college lists you at, right?

The best comps I could think of for Lockett in the last 3 drafts are TY Hilton (5'10, #92 in '12), Tavon Austin (5'8, #8 in '13), and Brandin Cooks (5'10, #20 in '14).

If Lockett can run a sub-4.4 40 like those 3 guys he'll be drafted in the first 3 rounds. Hilton didn't go as high as the other two because he played at FIU and didn't play the same type of competition.

Lockett is probably 5'9. Stevesie is a pretty tall guy so everyone looks 5'7 to him. He probably thinks I am only 5'7 too...

News from Training Camp on some recent EMAW'ers

Chris Harper

I can't seem to pull the video up @ work so I dunno if it is garbage or not, but anyway...

Quote
Chris Harper burnt rookie Demetri Goodson deep.

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/268908941.html

Tavon Rooks

Hurt, but can return at anytime...I'm guessing he didn't pass a conditioning test or something small like that?

Quote
New Orleans Saints defensive tackle John Jenkins and outside linebacker Cheta Ozougwu were placed on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) Monday. Rookie offensive tackle Tavon Rooks was placed on the non-football injury list and undrafted rookie defensive tackle Moses McCray was waived.

Emmanuel Lamur

Yawn, another DITR that LHCBS turned into an NFL stud

Quote
Exactly 11 months and six days ago, Guenther and the rest of Cincinnati's coaching staff were left wondering where they ought to turn as the haunting reality began to settle in: Emmanuel Lamur, one of their top cover linebackers and most knowledgeable young defenders, was lost for the season. A shoulder injury in the first quarter of the preseason finale against Indianapolis led to their concern, and forced Guenther's stomach to churn.

http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/9279/bengals-emmanuel-lamur-paul-guenther-relieved-return-injury

Quote
With James Harrison leaving after only one semi-disappointing season in Cincinnati, it paves way for the athletic Lamur to take over at the strong side as the starter. So far, the increased role seems to have been successful, as the coaching staff has been raving about his performances in offseason sessions thus far. There is still a long way to go with Training Camp and the regular season ahead, but things look cautiously optimistic at this point.

Justin Tuggle

Special Teams stud, looks to get more PT @ LB in year 2

Quote
Offseason Star: It is tough not to like what Justin Tuggle has done over the offseason and he finally gets to concentrate on one position for the season. He made his mark as the top tackler for the special teams last season and it is expected to be an integral part for the teams unit once again.

Arthur Brown

Seems to be getting pushed by some rookie out of some SEC school I've never heard of?

Quote
Mosley’s rapid progress over the next several weeks of training camp is critical, as he’s in the midst of competition for a starting job. Mosley is competing with second-year linebacker Arthur Brown, who was a second-round pick last season. Both players have taken snaps with the first-team defense, and the competition is expected to last throughout the summer.

Bryce Brown

I'll admit it, I pretty much forgot he was traded to the Bills...should be a great fit for him as Spiller will surely get hurt (if not traded) and Fred Jackson is at least 54 years old by now

Justin Tuggle, a rookie free-agent acquisition last year, has moved from outside linebacker to inside in Romeo Crennel’s defense and, in just his second NFL season, he’s apparently making a seamless adjustment.
