Bracket Strategy
« on: March 19, 2015, 11:14:20 AM »
Do you guys have a strategy you use when filling them out? This year I used three different strategies and I'm going to see which one scores the most points then use that strategy going forward.

1. Fill it out the second the bracket is released using the info you know.
2. Fill it out after the play-in games after you've heard everyone vomit up their talking points about the tournament.
3. Fill it out right before the tournament starts without thinking. Basically just using free flow.

I filled my bracket out as soon as it came out. Then switched to Ole Miss beating Xavier after the play in games.

I just guess and try to have some upsets but not too many upsets.

CF3's FINAL FOUR:

Kentucky
Wisconsin
Michigan State <----- wow a 7 seed
Iowa State <--------- This team has "it"

I feel out one bracket for all the groups I join in on. Also, I make my picks right away and I never make changes. I don't listen to the experts, I let my own eyes do the talking throughout the year.  :gocho: <------- (we found the glasses!)

What I think will happen. What I want to happen. Four factors. It's a combo. All brackets are exactly the same.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I say I'm going to do this every year once by brackets totally suck after the first (second) round. I should just fill out my brackets going with "the gut". Then once it's done, go back and switch every single pick except 16-1 and 15-2, then continue filling it out like before. I swear one day this will work for me because I'll miss like 60% of the first round sometimes. Didn't do it again this year. We'll see how it turns out

My strategy is usually trying not to be BIGXII biased, failing, and like this year, paying for it.
