it's great that kstate is offering 2014s.

we'll have to wait and see on custer, but getting a big 12 offer as a freshman and starting on a moderately high profile u17 team is a very nice beginning.

sounds like k-state and 2014 = GRCOAT 3.0

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Custer stuff from Battle for the Arch that took place a couple weekends back:

"Clayton Custer, PG, Mokan 17’s – In an 8 a.m. contest with Athletes First, Custer made a huge difference getting Mokan a lead that they ultimately held for the rest of the game. Confident with the ball in his hands, Custer is at his best in the open floor, where his vision and ability to get passes to teammates sets him apart from other young point guards. He simply makes baskets for his teammates a lot easier and that is hard to overlook."

The nation's attention is currently on the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va., but there is an underclassman from Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast High School who has the attention of plenty of coaches.

Class of 2014 prospect Richard Lee has recently landed offers from Maryland, Florida, Kansas State, Virginia Tech, George Mason and Miami.

"Richard has the size, strength and skill set to be special," Team Breakdown's Kenny Gillion said about his 6-foot-3, 200-pound shooting guard. "He spends extra hours in the gym working with his father and high school coach."

Darius Austin – Shooting Guard , Cahokia (SW Illinois Jets)

Austin wasn’t the team’s full time point guard, but he showed the ability to handle the ball near mid-court when faced with defensive pressure. Also, he was often able to penetrate the defense and get to the basket.

One of the things about Austin that stood out the most was his movement without the basketball. He was able to sneak in behind the defense on a couple of occasions and get the easy basket near the hoop. His jump shot shows good form, and he will take the shot if open. But he seems more natural when driving to the basket.

On the defensive end, Austin used his length to frustrate opposing guards and showed off his leaping ability by skying for a few high rebounds.

Clay Custer (Overland Park, Mo./Blue Valley Northwest)
2014, PG, 6-0, 160 pounds
Custer is a true point guard with a terrific handle. He does a good job delivering the advance pass on time and on target. He also did a nice job running the team and setting the offense, where he looked to attack. Custer hit open shots with range to the arc in space, and came off screens, knifing through the defense for a layup. Custer has an excellent floor game, court presence and basketball IQ for such a young player. He has Kansas State, Houston, Ohio, Wichita State, Missouri and Arizona on him early.

Glenn Robinson (St. John, Ind./Lake Central)
2012, SG/SF, 6-6, 185 pounds
College: Michigan
Robinson has continued to improve and was as aggressive as we have seen him. He attacked the rim in transition and along the baseline, often finishing above the rim. Robinson drew some tough fouls but kept attacking in a game which showed his competitiveness and toughness. Robinson shot over small defenders and also did a pretty good job getting to the offensive glass. The future Wolverine is a fun and exciting wing player to watch compete, especially when he is in full attack mode.

"Chris McCullough     6'8" 200 PF    Salisbury School (CT)
Not many know about the slender New Yorker on Team Scan, but they will soon enough. A long and athletic 6-foot-8 combo forward who attends prep school in Connecticut, McCullough looks as if he could be one of the biggest finds of the early evaluation period. He's long, skilled, athletic and already has Syracuse and St. John's all over him. "

Update also has positive comments on Mokan's Shavon Shields(as far as I know, KSU is not recruiting him)
