Slow going so far, as we were late getting plants into the ground. But peppers seem to be coming along nicely...

We do all kinds of things with them. Dehydrate and blend them into dried pepper for topping stuff, or add to rubs. We pickle some, and we fiddle with adding them to alcohol of differing types, just to see how nuts we can be haha.

Had an abundance of pablano and aconcagua peppers last fall (over 10 lbs.).  Cleaned the lot of them, applied olive oil and put on the smoker for an hour.  Froze most of them and add to salsa, chili, etc. :lick:

Well, depending on how much we actually end up being able to make, I really could possibly send a small bottle/jar...

We just made this yesterday with a bunch of random stuff that was already ripe and needed to be used... (1st 2 pics for reference of peppers used...) But this is all allotted for friends here. Will report back once all those on the plants start ripening!

This crap is getting ridiculous...

TONS of peppers starting to ripen, threw some of the hot ones on the dehydrator today, and closed off the bar where they are drying. Smell is SO strong in there.

Zoom in on the 2nd pic and look at all the capsaicin oil on the ribs. So damn hot...

Couple weeks ago. We have done this 3 times now, and I have done just as many on the dehydrator. It's at this point in the year that I'm basically ready to rip the plants out and throw them over the hill haha. Any way, hot sauce. Very, very hot sauce.

Just planted peas/lettuce/kale/broccoli/radish/carrots.

Also raked the old mulch chips off the annual flower beds and put down compost and new mulch.

I put the red barn fertilizer down last fall. I still have 2 bags of it in my shed to mix in with my compost pile throughout the year.
