This stupid eff of a president better watch his ass...same for the crap dicks that hired him.

2
Gene and Tang are both ready to let him play.
Apparently president Linton is NOT wanting him to play...thus holding things up.

Means Tang isn't happy...unhappy Tang (because of a meddling university president) will be open to other coaching opportunities after this season.

I take 56 up through Herington. Didn't know if I should keep going north through Riley.

Kansas State Football / Road construction QuestionDr
« on: October 18, 2023, 10:54:14 AM »
Driving up for the game this weekend, how bad is traffic coming off of I-70 coming from wichita?  I know there is roadwork going on there.  Should I drive up through Riley and come down from the North?
Thanks!

"Observations/Disclaimers:
-Stanford at 15th and #1 in the Pac-12 stands out.  Have to think this is largely based on wealthy donors & interest accrued from their rumored $1 Billion athletic endowment
-P5 money advantage is massive; barely any cross-over between those in the P5 conferences and all those that aren't/weren't
-SEC will have 10 of the top 14 revenue schools starting in 2024 (and 12 of the top 19)
-Many athletic depts (especially lower tier P5 and all G5s) are heavily subsidized by direct institutional support and/or student fees.  While EADA filings do not detail this figure, the info is available for all public universities via USAToday, KnightCommission, or Sportico
-Not all schools report revenues from the same sources and so there are some inherent outliers
-Total revenue figures are not necessarily a direct surrogate for "brand strength" due to many of the reasons above"

« on: August 20, 2023, 09:56:18 AM »
Anyone know of a website or photographer that sells K-State sports photos?
Didn't even know if there is such a website or if it's allowed...who knows with the dumb ncaa.
Appreciate any help, Thanks!

Must be some error here as I don't see ku on the list: According to longtime reporter Jim Williams, 10 programs have been "vetted" by the Big Ten for possible membership. This list includes, in no particular order, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Georgia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, Utah and Miami.

I just want utah and colorado to have to join our conference so we can make fun of how smug they have been throughout all of this...

From CBS:
"Coaches will not be able to visit recruits in person again until mid-September. Whether Self and/or Townsend will be allowed to resume full recruiting activities by then remains to be seen. As for how much damage control this move will help in Kansas' bid to avoid significant punishment from the IARP, industry sources believe a significant suspension for Self and a potential postseason ban for the Jayhawks are penalties that remain on the table."

12
If you gave me enough legos, I could make that happen...
I hope they didn't pay for that design.

13
Pretty sure my firm designed that event center in Colby...I didn't work on it though.

Honestly, do they have more "resources"??? Well, this is the same fanbase that believes the big 10 is their destiny and that Lawrence is a suburb of KC so...

17
KU is looking for more money because they are still paying their last 4 football HC's...

18
People who say Manhattan, KS is in the middle of nowhere have obviously never been to Lubbock, TX...because that place is in the middle of frigging nowhere.  It's surrounded by 5 hours of desert.

19
If I were not so lazy I'd go back and catalog the # of schools that land top 250 recruits and what percent of the top 250 their class is.  I'd also run it with just the top 50 or so as well.
Long story short the top kids are picking from the same top schools every damn year and it's making recruiting pretty boring IMO.

can we get a lazy river or a moat around the stadium with the ou ut buyout money? can call it the purple river

21
NONE of the leftover 8 schools add enough to any of the existing P5 conferences to make it worth the other conferences grabbing them.
None add $35 million a year to the ACC or Pac-12 and none def. add $50 million to the Big 10, why would those conferences dilute their existing share per team???
I don't know why it's so hard for (ku fans) to understand how this works.
Your barely watched football games do not add $35-50 million to a conference.
Math not Meth people...

K-State would be better off offering an art student $$$ to paint a giant mural of a whale and a dolphin getting it on every year than trying to "recruit" the top ranked player in KS HS football. At least get something for your time and money.

Statically speaking we should spend $0 and 0 minutes ever recruiting the #1 ranked player in our own rough ridin' state...since the last one we landed was in 2004 and he didn't even make it on campus.
