Animal Story From Vacation:  So I was on vacation with my family in Colorado and one morning I was taking a walk down a trail near our condo.  Well I started across this little wooden bridge and met this little guy in the middle.  We stood there for about 20 seconds looking at each other, and I took some pics obvs, and then he jumped down into the bushes and went around me.

Right after the bridge I stopped to take a few photos of the sunrise and about 2 minutes later I heard these crows going crazy.  Then over the bridge comes the fox with breakfast. He stopped when he saw me in the middle of the trail so I backed up about 10 steps off the trail and he trotted past me down the path.  Those crows were going crazy big time and swooping at him and stuff but he didn't seem to mind.  PRETTY NEAT.

Why was the coyote not looking at you when he was super close on the bridge but when showing off breakfast at 300 yards he’s looking right at you?

The first picture is a fox.  The second is probably a coyote.

It could not be a coyote.  But the first is a fox, clearly.

That makes sense. Basically everything humans interact with evolves backwards. It's not really natural selection so much as human selection, though.

Oh but, also today I saw a mama raccoon with 4 of her babies. They were about to cross the street so I stopped so they wouldn't get hit. They got halfway across the road, then looked at me, paused and went back the other way. I like to think they planned a prank to make me stop and look silly!  :D

@Stevesie60 , that dog harassed that gator for over 4 years. They were both "pets". I don't feel bad for that dog. #Karma
