This team should get better the next couple of years.
They lost an HM all conference middle blocker in Jones, who basically came out of nowhere to be good, a pretty good all-around player in Keating, quality depth out back in Madonia, and Taylor Johnson, who in my opinion just couldn't adjust to the increased offensive tempo enough to get on the court. Come to think of it that probably had a lot to do with Jones' success this season.
Brand, Kober, Reininger, Zumach, and maybe even Sassin are all more talented than anyone they lost, and all of them should be in Manhattan for at least the next two seasons. Zarda, Vogel, are decent, and are both young. Hell everyone is young.
They will have two seniors next season. Dallas Gardner, a walk-on and Mary Alice O'reilly a 6-3 opposite who I think is redshirting after being all conference in the WAC.
They are bringing in a couple of All-Americans from small Kansas towns, but I've got no clue how good they'll be. I've heard from multiple people that 2012 and 2013 were littered with team cancers, and have heard players allude to as much without naming names multiple times this season.
They should be trending up. I have no clue how high that might be, but I think Fritz and her staff are rejuvenated. I thought she might be done after last season. She seemed run down. I don't get that sense anymore.
