i dont know anything about them, do they generally get it right?

theres a reason these people are draft 'experts' and dont work for a franchise

i think the board consists of member franchises GM's and Personnel Directors from my limited research.  Also I found this which isn't exactly re assuring.

The board has a fair track record that has successfully predicted pick placement for some underclassmen but not others.[2] From 2012 to 2014 it accurately predicted the selections of 73.7% of the players the board graded as first-round selections, and 85.4% of the players it graded for the second, but almost 53% of those receiving third-round grades or lower were not drafted.[2]

  that number is staggering. That's over half that go undrafted, doesn't even include guys who dropped rounds

a lot of stuff happens between when they grade people as college players and when the draft happens. seems pretty solid to me.

Did Lee play special teams?  That is really how he sticks in the NFL.

The real lesson here is you don't redshirt guys that can help imo

upon further reading they changed the feedback rules after 2014 so my stat isn't really relevant anymore.  I think they have tightened it up to discourage more underclassman from coming out so they don't have as many washouts.

2011 depth chart had him at 6-4 219

He didn't start his freshman year, he was used as a passing down, or 3rd down rushing LB.

Hopefully, some NFL agent isn't blowing smoke up the young man's ass.  Sometimes they'll tell kids what they want to hear to make a few bucks.  This is worst case and I hope this doesn't happen to him.  I wish him the best and I hope he plays for a team that appreciates him as much as KSU does.

did you even read the kellis article? says the nfl draft advisory board predicted a mid-round grade and that lee wants to help support his mom. it's not some rando agent taking advantage of him. at the end of the day, these kids absolute bust their ass for my personal enjoyment and the minute they have the opportunity to turn that into cash money, i'm fine with it. by this time next year he could have blown out his acl, had a subpar year like barnett, or be in the exact some draft position except with another year of wear and tear on his body. i'll miss him playing for the cats, but he's only doing what any of us would do if offered a fantastic new job opportunity.

Or he could come back and watch his draft stock soar like Jordan Willis's did.

here's the deal- what if he comes back, has a great year, goes in the 1st round NEXT year, and then a comet blows up the earth before the nfl season starts and he gets to play a single down in the nfl?  guessing he would be a little pissed off for not getting a chance to fulfill his dream.
