Besides winning, what were the positives seen in the game.  I didn't get to watch it. :(

Waters was dropping double rainbows all over BSFS....without lockett for most the game.

Our secondary concerns me way more than our rb backs. Burns refuses to turn to located balls thrown in his direction. Shellenburg might have well not even played and I wouldn't have known. Danziel can lay the wood but his pure coverage ability is lacking. Also if Waters gets hurt we might as well toss this season in the trash.  Did Prewett play?

Pretty much. I would add that our LBs and DL were pretty non-descript as well.

Based on what I've seen on the video I'm wondering if our new stadium lights have dimmer switches (LOL) and maybe Currie is trying to save on electricity since the game wasn't televised.   Because after looking better last season, it looked no better than the old crappy lights on the video I saw.

Nope. None of the late arrivals played (Allen, Dvonta, Riddle, Clinks).

He played for a couple of series in the fourth. Was never really out of position but didn't really do anything. Not really enough to go off of.   :dunno:

We looked pretty salty with lots of depth at every position. Definitely better than last season. Burton is studly. Charles and Judah(had two egregious drops) are just electric. Need to improve containment on the pass rush. There QBS probably had 100 yards rushing on broken plays.  I think Burns had 3 or 4 pass breakups.  Our best 1st game of the year since Snyder 1.0.

We're going to smoke ISU unless there's a tsunami or something.

I'm not sure how anyone could've watched last nights game and come away feeling good about this team.

Because Snyder teams always play pretty horribly in our first game.  10-7 against Eastern Kentucky in 2011.  Giving up 320 yards passing to Missouri State in '12.  Last year's catastrophe.

Our best player hardly played and the game was never uncomfortably close.

In the coming weeks we're really going to "open up the playbook" . . . last night was pure vanilla . . . how long have you been watching Snyder teams
