Guys, please be serious. This is the legendary ALABAMA FOOTBALL we are playing.

Unfortunately, this feels a lot like Michael Jordan with the Wizards. Hakeem Olajuwon with the Raptors. Emmitt Smith with the Cardinals.

It’ll be fun to see them for nostalgia purposes, but really it’s just kinda sad. Saban is clearly on the down slide of his career.

Chuck roasts smoking on the Big Green Egg, gonna make some tacos on the Blackstone once they are done and shredded up.

what was the final question and answer

Something to the effect of "What are the 5 Boulevard beers that have always been available in bottles and cans"

1. Wheat
2. Pale ale
3. tank 7
4. kc pils
5. THE CALLING

Bear threw out the calling as the final beer but we made the fatal error of fighting mother nature and put down single wide instead of THE CALLING.  :Crybaby:

Thanks for being huge dumbasses and not listening to bear

This was all MiegeCat. Bear and I have wanted to do something like this for a while, but neither of us are organized enough to get it done. HUGE shoutout to our guy Kent. He’s pretty pak’d right now but it sounds like we raised a lot of money. Brady was the man, the absolute best of us.

As the inaugural winner of FattyFest, I look forward to taking on all challengers. Also, PurpleBear4 will be wrestling any potential suitors at halftime or 12 beers deep, whichever comes first.

clay travis is a lot smarter than kk. he absolutely knows what he's doing and is incredibly successful at it.

i'm afraid kk more or less believes the stuff he says.

put another way, clay travis sits around with his buds and counts his stacks and laughs at how dumb his audience is.
kk sits around with buds and complains about the world going to crap

Nick Wright told a story on Church Of Lazlo about meeting up with Clay for a drink when Fox wanted them to do a gambling show. Nick laid into him about how he thinks Clay is just a reprehensible human etc and clay was like woah woah woah, you don’t think I actually believe this stuff do you?

baseball is cheap AF though. and it's a good college sport. football and basketball aren't good college sports. they are good pro sports. volleyball and baseball are where it's at imo.

We should get a wrestling program too. For Metalhead.

Bukaty was unhinged this morning. He finally was like “you know what fine. We’ll go to the Big Ten or the ACC and everything will be fine” at which point Jeff Chadiha and Gabe DeArmond informed him that there’s no evidence either of those conferences have any interest in expanding. Thought we were gonna hear him cry again.

Privileged Catholic boy checking in: “eff women, go cats!”- EMAWmeister

We can address that later, but I’m sure it’s no worse than what most Texans feel

2.) Add BYU and Houston? Cincy? I don’t really give a eff, I just want BYU

You do NOT want BYU. Nobody should want BYU.

I 1000% do

Okay, meister.  Okay.  I guess you do want them.  But I’d argue they have more baggage than Baylor when it comes to institutionalized mistreatment of women and minorities.

Bro, IDGAF how they treat women. I’m just trying to keep my favorite hobby alive.

Fwiw I don’t think that everyone is going to 16 simply because the SEC went to 16. SEC is adding properties that every conference in the country would welcome. Adding KU/WVU/ISU etc isn’t in the same stratosphere for the big 10/ACC as OU/UT.

Super PAC is my dream scenario because it would be new and fun, but my realistic dream scenario is:

1.) SEC goes to 16, big 10 balks and stays at 14 and Pac stays at 12
2.) Add BYU and Houston? Cincy? I don’t really give a eff, I just want BYU

Nate Bukaty had an absolute meltdown on air this morning. Producers had to cut the segment off twice, the first time because he was crying and the second time because he questioned Les Miles’ mental capacity.

This could be a pipe dream, but Zipline brewery in Omaha has collaborated with Boulevard before. Maybe we could get them to brew a batch for Omaha cats like SD, Havs and NeymarCat

yes, I would love to hear more about it from someone who knows more

I’ll reach out and try and find out more. Would love for this to become an annual celebration.

I work in beer distribution, but on the missouri side. I imagine Kansas laws are more strict, I don’t know if it’s feasible for them to have a distribution plan by January.

Awesome.

As to Boulevard, I'm guessing that's a matter of just letting someone there know what we'd like to be considered as to that KC Pilsner and why and maybe doing our best pitch for it to try to get it picked over others.  Can you see exactly who'd need to do what with who on all that?

On Manhattan Brewing and Juicy, is it that they'd take the lead on getting other brewers to get on board and then tell those brewers the basics of the beer but letting everyone put their own twist on it?  Or would it be our role to try to round up those brewers and connect them with Manhattan Brewing?

So maybe we could have some small role in either or both of those that would be realistic to achieve soon, and simultaneously be persistent at the wrestling thing over a very long term.

Just send the recipe and let the Brewers scale it to their brewing system.

FWIW I would love to see K-State get a wrestling program, and it would be incredibly meaningful to his family, but for the reasons MIR laid out it’s just not feasible right now

I think we need EMAWmeister here to tell us exactly who Brady worked for and with that we’d connect with (and make sure they aren’t doing this) and to also tell us what gE could even contribute to such a thing.

Last I heard Boulevard was allowing employees to donate paycheck % to his cause and matching it. Boulevard also donates I believe 10% of the proceeds from KC Pilsner to a local charity. Perhaps that charity this year could do with local cancer research? I would love to do something with Boulevard.

WRT Manhattan Brewing co, they have a beer called “The Juicy” that Brady actually helped design the recipe for. One thing I think we could definitely do that would be cool is to get local Kansas/KC breweries to brew their own adapted versions of The Juicy, with proceeds going towards LLS research? The brewing community did a similar thing with Sierra Nevada for a beer for the California wildfires and the “Black Is Beautiful” project.

Yeah the world is worse off without Brady in it. Don’t know what else to say really. It’s horrible thing  losing a guy like that so young. Universally loved.

that video of him mentoring bear on the hoverboard should be submitted to natgeo.

Because of this wonderful BBS, I randomly met a man who I consider to be a brother and was a groomsman in my wedding.

A tremendous loss for us all. I’m going to miss him terribly.

Gin

Like, a fifth a week? Should I be concerned? I have a child coming in August. Will I be dead in my 30s?

Jesus, I'm averaging a fifth every two days.

It really is more alarming when you think about how much you consume at a bar when you have no gauge because you aren’t pouring the drinks.
