What do you guys cook in this thing? We have rice all the time, but we use those 90 second bags and they seem fine to me, and easy. And pasta in plane pot with boiling water is simple enough. I don’t get this instapot thing?

pressure cookers are good for cooking things that take a long time in a very short amount of time.
I use mine mainly for stews, pot roast, chili, brown rice, stock, and marinara. Marinara is the only one on the list that isn't better than the traditional method, but it is close. If I have the time I'll still do a 6 hour reduction for marinara, but the instapot comes dang close to the same result in an hour.

Pork chops, sausage and shells, chicken breasts, etc.
Not all the meals are quicker but I do enjoy one pot meals.
I find sites like this one and go from there. Those apple pork chops are fab.

anything you would have to roast or slow cook. like, put a giant piece of chuck roast in there, sear it in there, then throw in some blended up chipotles/lime juice/cumin/clove/oregano/vinegar and you've got yourself some knock off chipotle barbacoa in like 12 seconds. if you use a slow cooker that same recipe takes 8 hours. it's not any better, it's just much easier and faster.

Instapot Pasole  - I also like that it replaces my rice cooker, slow cooker, and pressure cooker.
I got an outdoor security camera that I use similar to a Ring Doorbell. Has paid for itself in avoiding school fundraisers.

I just have the sound bar and sub. I like it a lot. I've never owned a 5.1 or 7.1 or whatever type of setup though so I can't really tell you what it's lacking in comparison.

Would that be the Playbar? Looks like there's a new model out called Beam.

Yes. The beam is the new one and I think it’s less expensive.

Yep . . . I replaced a Denon 7.1 system. No more wires for me. Done with it.
