I can't remember where I read it, but it was a newspaper article. Someone reputable said they heard a school offered $50mm to join.

Surely they wouldn't call a press conference if they aren't even sure what/if will be done today. I mean, to call a press conference has to mean that they have reached an agreement, and today just formalizes that by an official vote. Right? Right?

Today is a regulary scheduled Presidents meeting. They usually have a press conference or media availability after them anyway. If nothing was going on, the commissioner and board president (Boren) would still be available to media.
