Pretty much everyone expected oscar to win, but its how we are winning, especially on offense, that is the surprise.

Just imagine someone posting this last summer.

Okay guys, remember last year with Frank we shot .336 from 3? That was 7th in the Big 12. And 8 of 16 conference games we didn't even hit .300? The good thing was only 30% of our shot attempts were 3s and we did the JYC stuff like oboard and get to the FT line, even though we turned it over on 22% of our possessions.

Well guess what, that's all going to change this year with oscar's offense. Here's what's going to happen; Oboarding and FT rate are going to go way down. Way down. But we're going to be one of the best teams in the league at NOT turning it over. From 22% to 17%. Plus we're going to have a ridiculous assist rate, nearly 2/3 of our shots instead of 58%.

But it gets better; we also are going to lead the league in 3 point shooting percentage. Oh, and we're going to shoot more 3s, a lot more 3s. In fact, now 36% of our shots will be 3s. Yeah, I'd expect us to hit over 39% of our 3s. In fact, we won't have one game where we hit less than 30% from 3.

Not only that, remember Shane's 3PT shooting? Well I'll tell you, he made 4 threes in 23 attempts his first 2 seasons. He's going to hit 45% in Big 12 games. Tay? Yeah, he'll be better; 48%, but he did hit 44% last year. Oh, Sprads and his awful Big 12 play last year? Well, he'll fix that and get back up to 40%. Rodney will actually get a little worse, but still hit 41%. The only guy that will be below 40% will be Angel, he'll be around 30%.

Yep, oscar's motion with a handful of 3PT shooting wizards who rarely turn the ball over; that's what we'll become.

That's Bruceketball.

It's pretty incredible really.  Nobody could've predicted.  It sounds like Rusty wet dream.

Nice job J-60.  Only thing I would add is that I think we might see (probably see?) Foster at the 3 as well.  He's a physical guard who plays bigger than his size.  oscar has shown he's not afraid to go small, and I think Foster is a good rebounding guard.  So I agree he'll won't see any minutes at the 1, but he see him getting minutes in line with Angel, Sprads and Southwell.

EMAC!!   :ksu:  <<<---- 'cept with a moldy redbird on it

Also, McGruder missed a ton of shots in the non-con.

jeezus christ, weber couldn't motivate me to get out of bed if my house was on fire and kate upton was serving beer and bbq naked in my backyard.

why would you need weber to motivate you with the given circumstances?
seek help.

for that matter, why would you need motivated to win a Big 12 title?   :dunno:

56
Do big 12 games only so I can see how sexy Shane's numbers are.

Seems like it is conference only  :dunno:

Is everybody on the roster healthy and eligible?  Do I have Hoskins and Sutton on 08 or do I have to start Andre Gilbert?  Is Walker on 07?  can I play Kelly and Kent together on the 09 team?   The 08 roster at full capacity is probably the #1 team in the nation this season and without a doubt the best group of talent ever assembled at K-State.   If you said I had to enter a tournament with one of the rosters, I'm picking 08 without discussion.  If were ranking on how their season's actually went, probably a different story.
disagree.   10 has much better guards.  Sr. Denis and Jr. Jake >>>> Sr. Clent and Blake and Fr. Jake
Jr. Sutton marches up well defensively with Walker.
Beasely would have gotten his against Soph. Jamar.
Hoskins would have had significant issues against Jr. Curt.
It would be an amazing game to watch, but in the end the back court for '10 out skills the back court from '08 more than the front court from '08 outskills the front court from '10.  Id say '10 wins 7/10 times.  '08 is OJ Mayo away from being the best team ever at K-State hands down.

Denis Clemente was the best guard on that 08 team.  He couldn't play due to transfer rules, but he was on that team.

does foster take over for rod, thomas spell angel, and we play the same way as this year?

More or less.  My guess

1. Angel, Thomas
2. Spradling, Foster
3. Southwell, Foster
4. Williams, Southwell
5. Gipson, Finchsonaz

Little bit of EMAPE and Westicles thrown in there.

Twenty-four hours before its most impressive win of the Big 12 season -- an 81-61 victory over Baylor -- oscar Weber kicked his Kansas State basketball team out of practice.

Loafing through drills, snickering during dead balls, not paying attention as they were being given the scouting report. The Wildcats were doing it all -- and Weber had had enough. Using words that aren’t fit for print, he told his players to go home.

There was one problem.

The Wildcats refused.

“He was like, ‘Get out of here! Get out!’” guard Rodney McGruder told ESPN.com. “I was holding the ball, and he came up and tried to yank it away from me, but I put it behind my back.”

McGruder paused.

“As a leader on this team, as a senior, I wasn’t going to let that happen,” McGruder said. “It was my job to make sure we finished that practice on a high note.”

 :D

Was just about to start a new thread with this.

KC is a treasure.  Love what he contributes to this place.

What a coincidence. Spoke to Nick Russell the other day.  Also said he was forced out and was totally EMAW.  On the other hand, he was scoring 14ppg and handing out 4 apg for a D1 basketball team instead of hanging out bars.  Also, no evidence that his heart could explode at any moment.   :dunno:

Thank _Fan.

looks like even more pro-JO data.

havs' return to goEMAW is off to a pretty weird start.

STILL GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK THOUGH!

I wasn't aware of him before, but I can say he is a pointless crap sack of a poster now.  His posts are like toothy blow jobs.  The only people that enjoy them are people that hate themselves.

how will you feel if I tell you he certainly banged demi moore

Jeezus, now I'm going to read all Havs posts in an Ashton Kutcher voice.   :dubious:

Hopefully Self scouted Sprads like Hoiberg.

I actually have a copy of The Mayor's scouting report on the Cats. Here it is:

Quote from: Hoiberg
"Offensively, they play at an extremely fast pace. They run aggressive pick and rolls. If you turn it over, they fly it up the floor as fast as anyone. They turn turnovers into transition baskets. On the defensive end, they rely on ball pressure and contest shots. They get into your body and force you to drive it into Hernandez and he just blocks your crap."

...

“Keep them out of the lane. Don't let them run any of their crap. When they let Angel and Rodney go, and spread you out, they're tough to deal with. When they get into the dribble-handoff stuff, it's tough.”

...

“I think you want to make them play faster with Gipson. In the first five minutes at their place, deal with the Octagon of Doom crap. You can't let them get on those big runs.”

Yep, no mention of Spradling. No wonder he had a big game.
But Kellis said...

can't tell if serious...

will match for all three.

68
Typo, jefferson is like 6'8"

good lord I shoulda caught that.  I think because you listed him second, I just let him be the 2 guard without paying attention to the name.

69
just make a "PUD" sign and use it for every player.

Would enjoy a pud sign

Yes, after Dave Lewis says the name, everyone just says PUD. Let's try it

6'0" guard from Las Vegas, Nevada #55 Pierre Jackson
PUD
6'3" forward from Kileen, Texas #34 Cory Jefferson
PUD
6'2" guard from Little Rock, Arkansas #22 AJ Walton
PUD
7'1" forward from Arlington, TX #21 Isiah Austin
PUD
6'0" guard from Toronto, Ontario #5 Brady Heslip
PUD

I really like it guys, gj emawblast :D

:surprised:  when did Baylor get so short?

This is gonna hurt so bad when we lose.

Nope, denied.  Lot of basketball left  :fistpump:

Agreed.  Win would be amazing, but we'll be in first place tomorrow either way.  Won't start sweating til the 4th loss.    Feeling a nice combo of  :excited: and  today.

71
Fan, could we see a perspective on least turnover per 100 rather than most?  maybe fouls too, but definitely interested in turnovers.  seems more relevent to the current team.  Perhaps that's too difficult...   :dunno:  TIA

72
those charts are calling weber a rough ridin' respect for only getting jhr 14.6 minutes/game.  also it's great to see that 12-13 art is the greatest assist king of all time.

yeah.  It's ridiculously glaring based on those numbers.

73
Was able to occupy myself 'til 2 with "urgent"stuff.  Been in game mode since then. :runaway:
