I have a phone interview with a college (D1 in basketball!!!) on Thursday. It's way better pay, more travel, and I would work in Phoenix from time-to-time. I had a friend who worked for them awhile back and she can't stop raving about them. They reached out to me today through indeed. I'd cover the Midwest territory for them.  :Wha:

I'm talking to a company in Phoenix.  I'll likely head there or back to Manhattan in a month or so.  Remote mountain living has gotten to me.

Very cool! Best of luck! Also, congrats Puni! This college has a former 3 point sharp shooter from the suns as their coach.

It is one of the biggest for profits - there has been a lot written about a for profit going D1 and their business practices.  No idea how that influences working for them but it absolutely is for profit.

Crap. I guess I didn't see them in the same eyes as the previous schools I've worked for, but yeah, damn.

I've often wondered if it was even possible for the gross food thread to get any more disgusting.

i don't know if it's possible for it to get any more disgusting, but guessing the ingredients will be more challenging.

fortunately he left good enough clues to where people could find out what college it was, and then let him know it was a for-profit college.

Wacky, you really should know something like that prior to the interview or even prior to get excited about an opportunity and posting your excitement on gE. In reality, I am kind of glad you didn't, because that is part of what makes you Wacky.  ;)

To be fair, I always knew they were private and just assumed with them playing D1 sports now, that they couldn't be "for-profit". My friend who works for them had a sister play ball there and now coaches there. Sad news.
