The best way to increase your chances of receiving TSA Pre?® on a regular basis is to register for a Trusted Traveler Program with the Department of Homeland Security at dhs.gov/tt. Once you receive your Known Traveler Number (KTN) from TSA, be sure you update your AAdvantage profile.

To add your KTN to your AAdvantage profile:
Login to your account on aa.com and select My Account from the AAdvantage menu
Within My Account, go to the Information and Password tab
Add your Customs and Border Protection 9-digit PASS ID to your secure traveler information
For more information on TSA Pre?®, visit tsa.gov/tsa-precheck.

Pro-tip, NEXUS is much cheaper than Pre check and you get all the same benefits of Global Entry and PreCheck. But you have to do it in Canada or near the canadian border.

nobody is going to travel even 30 minutes out of their way to save $100 minus whatever nexus costs though.

Ready for the next card. Went through Chase Freedom, Both SW cards (got companion pass yesterday through 12/31/2016

), and Barclay Premier, just this year alone.

Did CSP last year (maybe year and half ago), have AA and SPG cards, done Hyatt (going to Cancun all-inclusive over Memorial Day Weekend on SW, w/ companion pass).

What next?

I've gotten rejected on business cards before... Don't feel like committing fraud either. Idk why, but i get

... I know I shouldn't but being rejected in the past didn't sit well w/ me.

I think that SW devaluation is coming up shortly so make all your reward bookings now. If you don't have a companion pass yet and are holding out for that don't. You can book the person now on an award and add the companion to their ticket later.

Very interesting offer. Certainly worth consideration with the airline credit global entry and lounge access. Not sure I would get enough use from the last two though unless I could get into the club when flying southwest from 3rd world Laguardia. Too bad that free 4th night thing would really only get used if I was on a work trip. Could use it to extend a work trip through the weekend.

those points are kinda garbagey compared to other proprietary points as well. you can get lounge access and reimbursement for that stuff for a similar fee with a plat or MB amex.

New to the whole credit card thing. Finishing college in a few weeks and want to get in on the free flights mostly. What are some suggestions for good credit cards? Don't think I'll be living close to an airport with Southwest. That had been recommended to me by someone not on the board.

Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Freedom, & Citi AA. Let me know if you want a referral for either of the Chase cards and I'll give you one.
