Harper got cut b/c SEA is absolutely in win now mode...they will make an effort to get him on their practice squad, but when a guy drops a TD pass like stud/boss CH did, in a make or break situation that is about that for cut day

Would love to see Harper back in purple with the Vikings.  He'd be great for that offense, the QB can't throw for crap so he'd be blocking for Peterson all game long.  (Mixed in with am occasional reception after the D had stacked 8 in the box for like 40 straight plays.)

So apparently the 49ers are going to play Harper at Tight End as a replacement for Delanie Walker. I guess it's a good thing cause at least he'll get on the field. But he'll be playing off a three-point stance at times. Weird.

The 49ers reportedly envision converted WR Chris Harper "in the Delanie Walker mold."
Harper scored a 33 on the Wonderlic exam, and the 49ers believe he can handle multiple roles and a variety of positions. Harper and Walker aren't much different in terms of build, and the former has more straight-line speed. The Niners will attempt to develop Harper for a season before trying him on offense.

a) 33 is a stud/boss score.
b) He has to remain on SF's active roster for 3 weeks since they signed him off of a practice squad...then it sounds like they may try to get him on their Practice Squad, since they want to 'develop him for a year'?

They're rough ridin' him over is what it sounds like.  He's moving from one teams practice squad to another.
