Poll

Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

So this seems like a good sign, surprised no one has brought it up.

Quote from: Johnny C
We are currently working through conceptual plans of our master plan for LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium to evaluate our next steps. As we refine Phase III we are taking preliminary steps to focus on the audio/visual components of the stadium and Bramlage as it relates to video boards and sound systems, as well as some other key components of the fan and student-athlete experience, and are moving in the right direction to making dramatic improvements in these areas. We’re excited about the progress we are making, and stay tuned for more details as we move forward in the process.

Phase III: Student Athlete and Hospitality Amenities
--- Strength and Conditioning Center
--- Varsity Club and Seating Area
--- Recruiting Lounge
--- Video and Ribbon Board Additions
--- Distributed Sound System
--- South Stadium Fan Amenities
--- Limestone Field Wall   :crossfingers:
--- Field Perimeter Surface Upgrades

Do people here still hate Currie?  I want/love facilities for recruiting+next coach/recruiting
i think all of that hinders on oscar to be quite honest. That and the hiring of the next football coach. Facilities, he gets an A for sure. But what's the point of having a Porsche if you have no license
True, I dont like the hire based on oscar's resume alone.  But it's working out so far.  We'll see I guess.

What do we think the split of the $12M audio/visual enhancements will be?

The huge board and audio at DKR was $8M in 2006.  Hopefully big board prices have dropped like flat screen TV's so we can get a couple more monster boards.

Maybe $1M at Tointon.  IIRC their audio wasn't terrible  :dunno: so like $100k toward that and a $900k excellent video board.  Would love if they kept the old one out there to display stats etc and the new one was just for video replays etc.

(hate how they put scores and adds on the BSFS big board.  Use the nice screen for huge video, dont shrink down the good stuff to show my garbage.  hopefully ribbon boards or additional board help this)

Maybe $2-3M at Bram.  Needs better wifi/cellservicecontraptions, some improved speakers, and maybe a new center scoreboard??

$8-9M for BSFS for amazingly cool stuff thats bigger and better than our CTR rivals?

This is great news. Any further word on what the bleachers in the end zone fun zone will look like? Or what the actual building will look like? Gimme renderings, gimme something.

Why hasn't "reduce aisle width" been the top priority in Bram?

because it looks terrible/stupid on TV?  also, would add more seats to the bowl.  Which would, in turn, allow them to eliminate seats at the top of the west side and add more loge boxes without dropping the capacity.   :dunno:

Yep to all. Sometimes I watch on TV and think, "Hmm. I don't recall ever watching another basketball game in an arena with such prominent aisles. Hmm.

Agreed.  They are also painted an extremely bright shade/finish of white

The aisle width is also governed by building codes for egress and accessibility. This impacts everything from width of the stair, hand rail placement, rise and run of the stair, and in some cases how stairs are painted and/or lit in case of emergency.
