Kansas State Football / Re: Ron Prince stories
« on: July 16, 2013, 01:45:59 PM »
Before I knew it we were both on the floor.  He landed on top of me and grabbed a handful of my nuts....no lie, this dude was squeezing them shits hard.

There were these sliding partitions in the meeting room and we rolled into them and damn near knocked it down.  One of the most uncomfortable and strange things that ever happened to me.

Oh. FunruhCat76 may have been an early (and unwilling) winner of the Ron Prince Love Sweepstakes.

oh man. this post is amazing. wow.

Have recently given some thought to growing my hair out.  I can't decide if it is a good idea or not. Need reasons to proceed in growing hair out.

Portland is where I plan to focus my job search after I graduate.   It's still too hot there, but better than kc.

hard to find jobs there. You should try the Bay instead.

*edit* I mean you should look at the Bay, ALSO. Definitely try for Portland. Might as well look at LA, too. LA is great.

open to the bay as well because it's awesome and family lives there, but it's so expensive.  going to try and get an internship somewhere there next year, maybe cRustyMichiMichicat can help  :peek:

i pretty much hate la though, just not my scene man.

well, yeah, people make more money in SF, too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highest-income_metropolitan_statistical_areas_in_the_United_States

Hating LA is tired and silly. It's HUGE and you would be able to find your niche.

LA has a lot of benefits. Just yesterday surfed early in the morning, hiked round noon and rode light rail from the westside to downtown with my bike and enjoyed the city without worrying about traffic in between. Its not as easy to like LA as it is NY, SF, or even New Orleans  but its too big and too diverse not to find something you like.

LA is my absolute favorite city in the country.  Hoping to live there someday.

31. Chosen because it was one of two numbers (other was 14) when I picked my number as a freshman.

Did he tweet something at that point, or what?

Yeah... From March 11.

I had a chance to retread about 300 emails I received after Coach Weber was hired - I truly appreciate just how special this year has been.

Going back and reading through all of his emails from last April right now like he did after the qatz won the P66?

Six to one half a dozen to the other.

six of one half a dozen of the other

I'll go ahead and luke myself here

Neither of you guys must watch soccer because they say that about 4 times a match

Both of my parents use this quite often.

36
I don't do upper level anywhere.

Lower level, or don't go, imo.

Filling out the bracket blind was pretty fun. Had Florida winning it in that one, and the regular one I filled out.

http://projects.wsj.com/blindfold-brackets-2013/

Cats (beat Louisville) over Miami (beat uk) in the Championship game. Was actually surprisingly similar to the bracket I already had filled out.

Would buy 2 from someone.

Well we really need to put together a pro basketball team and cash in.

From the looks of things, we could also put together one of the under 6' basketball teams also

6'1" btw

They acted as they did with a larger amount of facts than you have available to you.

Stop saying this.

For the same reasons why you go by "Captain Crap" and not your real name and make sure that you only go so far in what you post here, there are people who were in the rough ridin' rooms when these things went down who give us the info under made-up names and via pm, etc.

I appreciate you coming here and setting forth the Athletic Department's side on things.

EDIT: Daris is a little more tactful than me.

I would like to sign up for this super secrety pm list.  Send me the paper work and the non-disclosure stuff.  TIA.

The two things I wish in life:
1. I could get on pm list(s) like this. and
2. I was creative enough have an internet sock (or be able to tell who is and who isn't a sock). I'm not even creative enough to have one good internet personality, let alone be able to handle two.

Dear Google,

Google Earth makes it much easier to be more efficient at my job.  The measuring device is pretty damn accurate and street view makes it nice and easy to explain stuff to/coordinate stuff with people over the phone.

Thank you.

P.S. let me know if you need some follow up info/input on all that data you grabbed when driving by my house.

 - CNS

I was not aware of this...I guess I should look into it.

Yeah, was initially skeptical.  Ran it against some stuff I already had measured and it was really close.  I don't use it as a primary tool for take off, but it is a great secondary check, or something I use for minor stuff.

Assuming you have the same version I do, click the icon that looks like a ruler standing on end.  It is immediately left of the envelope icon at the top of the view screen.

I have never even heard of this.  What is it called and where can I get it?

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Finish a Basement
« on: July 02, 2012, 01:47:03 PM »
So, just about wrapped up finishing my basement. Leaning heavily towards a projector as opposed to a Plasma/LCD. Anyone have any thoughts on the two? Or any recomendo's on a projo? Thinking ceiling mount, 120" screen, and lots of c@'s games  :D

My parents have one in their basement.  I like watching sporting events and movies on them.  I have no idea what type of projector it is, but I seem to enjoy it when I'm watching stuff there.  It has been there for 7 years and still works.

I am not a doctor, but I have a cyst on my left wrist that sounds kind of like this.  It will hurt when I move my hand in certain directions, but nothing too serious. I have been to the doctor about this and he said it is not a big deal until it starts to cause a lot of discomfort (won't be until I'm in my 40s or 50s).  I would get it checked out just to be safe.

T's & P's.

That sounds most likely like a ganglion cyst.  Different kind of thing but isn't a problem unless it affects a nerve or blood vessel, then it needs to be removed.  They used to be called "bible bumps" back in the day because that was the biggest book people had and they would slam them down on people's wrists to break up the cyst and have it decrease (not recommended because you can hurt yourself and they have a high chance of coming back.)

That sounds like what the doctor called it.  He was able to drain some of the fluid out of it. This was recommended to me by a friend who saw his 3rd grade teacher do this to a girl in his class.

you dont hold conferences to get on the same page. you hold conferences to announce your moving to a new conference.

This will probably be the meeting that they give the Pres/AD the power to explore conference affiliation.
