aren't you worried that the weight of those massive shoes caused your knee injury?

What if I find myself in a situation where I need to chop some wood? What kind of injury would I be risking with inadequate footgear?

Is he dying? I don't know. So tragic. I better be extra nice to him!

J-dub, buddy, pal...why the heck did you get shoes that look like they should have laces but don't?

I have those sperry stripers in white. Very comfortable. Great slip on casual etc shoe.

At the debate where I'm trying to decide between basic cowboy boots and ll bean duck boots for the fall/winter

No, I just don't understand why you'd want laceless, slip-on shoes that look like you're just too poor or lazy to buy laces. To each his own or whatever.
Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.

Now this is a great debate. Find some basic Nocono boots and you'll love them if you decide to go the cowboy/wellington route. LL Bean makes wonderful duck boots. Get the 6" or 8" versions and be sure to get Gortex, Thinsulate, or both. The unlined versions only make sense if you live in an area that's always warm. Get lining if you want them to be ideal for KS falls and winters.
Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.

I went from 2006 to late 2013 without owning a pair of shoes that I need to tie laces, with the exception of running/workout shoes. Do you know how much time I saved myself over that time period?? I'm guessing a couple of days.

Now there are some days when I'm running a bit late for work in the morning and the last thing I want to do is tie my effing shoes.  :curse:

the bumps on the leather are called quills and you purchase spurs separately.

Recently purchased these...not all Toms look like elf/kung foo shoes. And those laces are optional because of the elastic tongue straps  :D
